Matt Dyment has your end of season Lake of the Woods fishing report from Totem Lodge, and he saved the best for last.
Muskies are on a heavy trolling bite. Think nine to twelve inch baits, white and shiny, at 3.8 to 4.2 miles an hour. Pike are stacked up in the back bays in six to eight feet on spoons, spinnerbaits and topwaters. Walleyes are anywhere from six to twenty five feet, and the crappie bite has been a beat down.

Last call at the dock! 🚤
Wiley is open regular hours all day today and tomorrow. Tie up, top up the tank, grab a meal and one more drink with us before we close for 2026 on October 1.
The season doesn't end there. Yellowbird Lodge in Sioux Narrows opens October 1 at 11 AM, open to the public 7 days a week all fall and winter.

Forty fish in a morning, and nobody talks about them. 🎣
Matt Dyment has your latest Lake of the Woods fishing report from Wiley Point. Water temps are in the sixties, the musky trolling bite is about to pop off, and walleyes are up shallow from eight to twelve feet.
The real story is the crappie. They were stacked on structure in nineteen feet and it was nonstop all morning on little one eighth ounce tungsten jigs. It is one of the best fisheries we have and hardly anyone targets it.
