It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Marlene Jean Preddy, aged 79, on 21 August 2026.

Born Marlene Jean Lang on 26 July 1947, Marlene was a beloved partner, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was deeply loved by her family and will be remembered for the place she held in the lives of those closest to her.

Marlene's life was marked by the love she shared with her family and the many memories she created with those around her. Her presence brought comfort, love, and connection to generations of her family, and her absence will be deeply felt.

She leaves behind her partner, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, along with extended family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Though her passing was sudden and tragic, the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind will endure.

Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed.

The Cookshop Kitchen is now offering it's "Patches 'N Groves" Signature Sauces in 250ml & 500ml container sizes to take home.

They are now available at Ms. J's Convenience Store (Five Corners): 174 The Queensway South, Keswick, ON.

What's your favourite sauce? Currently available in limited amounts:

Dill-icious Sauce, Burger Sauce, Roasted Garlic Parmesan, Spicy Garlic Parmesan and Tangy Tartar.
