ADHD is so much more than being distracted or “having trouble paying attention.”

It can affect how someone manages attention, motivation, organization, emotions, time, and everyday tasks, and it can look very different from one person to the next.

Understanding ADHD means looking beyond the stereotypes and recognizing that struggling with something doesn't mean someone is lazy, careless, or not trying.

This ADHD Awareness Month, let's keep learning, listening, and creating more understanding and support for people with ADHD. 🧡

Today, we remember, honour, and reflect.

We honour Residential School Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and commit to listening, learning, and supporting reconciliation. 🧡

Every Child Matters.

A little reminder for the moments when you’re hardest on yourself. 💛

Be patient with yourself. Speak to yourself with kindness. Give yourself permission to rest, make mistakes, and have hard days.

You don’t have to earn compassion. You deserve it, too.

Emotions are human, not masculine or feminine. 💛

Some of us grew up hearing that boys shouldn’t cry, girls are “too emotional,” or that certain feelings are more acceptable for one gender than another.

But there’s no gender attached to sadness, anger, fear, joy, vulnerability, or love.

Everyone deserves the space to feel their emotions, express them, and ask for support when they need it.

We don’t need to make ourselves smaller, tougher, quieter, or less emotional to fit someone else’s expectations of what our gender is “supposed” to look like.

Feel your feelings. They’re human. 🌻

Gender equality benefits everyone💛

When we're surrounded by expectations about how we're “supposed” to act, feel, look, communicate, or live based on gender, it can leave less room to simply be ourselves.

Creating space for emotional expression, individuality, shared responsibility, healthy relationships, and authenticity helps create healthier people and communities.

Everyone deserves the freedom to be who they are without having to fit into a box. 🌻

This Gender Equality Week, we’re taking a moment to recognize how far we’ve come, while acknowledging that there is still work to do. 💛

Gender equality is about more than equal opportunities. It’s about creating a world where everyone can feel safe, respected, heard, and valued, regardless of their gender.

The barriers people experience because of gender can show up in so many parts of life. From work and education to healthcare, safety, and relationships. These experiences can have a real impact on mental health and well-being.

Creating a more equal and inclusive world doesn’t happen overnight. It starts with listening to different experiences, challenging assumptions, speaking up when something isn’t right, and making space for others.

This week, let’s celebrate the progress that’s been made, recognize the work that still needs to be done, and remember that we all have a part to play. 🌻

Back-to-school season can bring more than just excitement. 🎒

For kids and parents alike, a new school year can come with a mix of anticipation, excitement, sadness, apprehension...

In her latest blog, Pippa Kenworthy shares some practical ways parents can support their children through back-to-school anxiety. From easing into routines and opening up conversations, to helping kids focus on what they can control and practising coping skills before the first day. 💛

Whether your little one is starting kindergarten, heading into high school, or somewhere in between, a little preparation and connection can help make the transition feel more manageable.
