Broda
Broda manufactures premium wheelchairs, seating products, and accessories for long-term care. When it comes to essential comfort, Broda is the premier choice.
With over 40 years of experience in long-term care, Broda understands that comfort and safety are essential. We offer a full line of chairs and wheelchairs, including products for tilt-in-space positioning, mobility, rehab, and other advanced care needs. Our goal is to provide patient and caregiver safety, ease of use, reliability, regulatory compliance, and return on investment. The Broda Comfort Tension Seating® “Suspension System” is the key to providing a comfortable, functional chair. Each strap conforms individually to the user’s body, suspending their weight across multiple points. This strapping system reduces discomfort from a bottomed-out cushion or extra pressure from a sling-type seat. The straps have “memory retention;" after applying pressure, they will return to their original shape within seconds. Combined with state-of-the-art tilt and recline functionality, Comfort Tension Seating® can reduce the risk of pressure injuries, falls, and other painful and costly injuries. When it comes to ensuring your comfort and safety in long-term care, Broda is the premier choice.

Don’t Get Left Behind.
The equipment available to NEMT providers has come a long way. For many trips, a stretcher no longer represents the only option.
The Traversa Transport Wheelchair can handle up to 90% of trips that would traditionally require a stretcher. For appropriate passengers, it gives NEMT providers another transportation option.
One operator can manage the chair, while adjustable seat height, recline, and lateral-transfer capabilities support a wider range of passenger needs.
Some NEMT providers now rely solely on Traversa wheelchairs as the primary transport for their fleet.
Take another look at your equipment.
Does your fleet give your team the options today's NEMT industry demands?

Alzheimer’s disease looks a little different for every person. Over time, changes in balance, coordination, spatial awareness, or mobility affect how someone moves through the day.
World Alzheimer’s Day provides an opportunity to recognize the importance of paying attention. As abilities shift, caregivers and care teams can watch for signs that a mobility solution that worked well before may deserve another look.
Today, Broda joins families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals around the world in recognizing people living with Alzheimer’s disease.
You may already know what you need from a wheelchair. The harder part can be figuring out which model offers the right features.
The Broda Product Quiz helps narrow the options based on mobility, positioning, transportation, and other needs.

A Legacy of Patient-Centered Care.
Dr. Helen Rodríguez-Trías believed medicine should begin with people.
The Puerto Rican pediatrician and public health leader spent her career advocating for patients whose voices were too often dismissed. She worked to improve care in underserved communities, championed informed consent, and encouraged healthcare professionals to understand the cultural backgrounds and lived experiences of the people they served.
In 1993, she became the first Latina president of the American Public Health Association.
During Hispanic Heritage Month, Broda honors Dr. Rodríguez-Trías and the Hispanic and Latino healthcare professionals who continue to bring knowledge, compassion, and a deep respect for the individual to patient care.
The best care starts with seeing the whole person.

The Best Seat in the House Might Have Wheels.
A wheelchair affects much more than how a resident gets from one room to another in long term care. It becomes part of meals, activities, appointments, conversations, and everyday care.
That experience gives care teams plenty to think about when they evaluate seating and mobility options. We’d love to hear what you’re seeing in your facility.
The Broda team is in Norfolk today for the VHCA-VCAL Convention & Trade Show. Stop by to see our wheelchairs in person and explore different seating and positioning options. Come and talk with our team about the residents in your care.

You don’t have to know the features and benefits of every Broda model to narrow your options.
Our new wheelchair quiz asks about the person using the wheelchair, how they move, where they'll use it, and what they need from their seating. Your answers will prompt a personal recommendation for a Broda wheelchair in minutes.

September is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, a time to recognize the millions of people living with Alzheimer’s disease and the families, friends, and professionals who care for them.
Caregiving can include helping with meals and daily routines, providing reassurance, assisting with personal care, or simply being present. Much of that work happens in ordinary moments.
This month, Broda recognizes the people living with Alzheimer’s and those who help provide safety, dignity, and connection throughout the journey.
