We provide continuing bereavement support to men and women after the death of their spouse or partner. We are a peer based support centre.
Support and program initiatives will provide the the widowed person with the tools, knowledge, courage and strength needed to create a new sense of self for them, as they work to rebuild and maintain a new quality of life their family.

Grief can be deeply personal, but it can also be collective. It can be carried through families, communities and generations.
At Hummingbird Centre for Hope, we know that grief needs to be witnessed, acknowledged and respected.
Truth and Reconciliation asks us to do the same—to listen to the stories, learn the truth, honour those who were lost, and recognize the ongoing impacts of colonialism on Indigenous Peoples.
Reconciliation is not something we can accomplish in a single day. It is an ongoing commitment to listen, learn, remember and take action.
Today, we wear orange to honour the children and hold space for the families and communities whose lives have been forever changed.

Forgiveness doesn't erase the pain of loss. It softens the weight of the "what ifs" and "if onlys" we carry… One of grief's quietest acts of courage is learning to forgive yourself for the things you couldn't control.
