Berlin Shorts

The event solicits 5-minute short films from local film makers, paying $50 screening fees as per Independent Media Arts Alliance guidelines. Screened before a live audience, the film maker is in attendance and receives direct feedback from a panel of three judges, all of whom are established artists in the film and new digital media spheres. The audience then votes to "renew" or "cancel"; if renewed, a berth in the next round is secured and the film maker is on tap to create something for the next event. There will be five events per year, with a Grand Champion crowned - and Grand Prize awarded - at the end of each season.
