Our group hit the course today for some mini golf, fresh air, laughs and a little friendly competition! 🏌️‍♀️

Of course, Laverne came along too — and apparently decided that if you’re going golfing, you dress for golfing. 😂

Her technique could use some work, but the outfit? Absolutely nailed it.

Another fun day getting out in the community and spending time together!

A little fall fun at Downey Apple Farm 🍎

We headed out for some apple picking and had plenty of time to check out the activities and enjoy some beautiful mornings together.

Of course, Laverne came along for the outing too. She wasted no time introducing herself to the locals. 🪿🦆😂

Our newest “hire” had a busy day today — Lady Laverne’s very first trip to the park with the Light House crew! 🌳☀️

She got to hang out with some of our participants, enjoy a little fresh air, and — in a bold display of independence — even tried to catch a ride on the GRT bus.

Apparently, “porch goose” was never going to be enough for Laverne. She has places to go and people to see.

But behind Laverne’s adventures is something that’s always been important to us: Our participants aren’t just spending their days at a program — they’re sharing experiences, building friendships and making some pretty great memories together. And apparently, those memories now include travelling with minor goose royalty. 👑

Lady Laverne Featherington of Light House 👑🪿

After an extensive recruitment process (there were no other applicants), Lady Laverne has officially joined the team.

Her qualifications remain somewhat unclear.

Her references were questionable.

And we’re still trying to figure out exactly what her job is.

Nevertheless, she interviewed extremely well and has already demanded her own social media presence.

Lady Laverne will be joining us for activities, outings and adventures around the community — and generally making herself at home wherever she goes.

She is sophisticated.
She is adventurous.
She is exceptionally well dressed.
And she is a goose.

We have a feeling you will be seeing quite a bit of her.
