Maple Grove Elementary

Maple Grove held their annual Terry Fox Run Friday! 🏃🏻‍♂️

Despite the rainy morning, our K4 & K5 Garden students and families ran or walked around the Lakeside soccer field. Thank you to the grade 6 buddies that walked with our Garden students.

Later in the day, our grade 1-6 students walked “all across Canada” by passing each provincial flag spread throughout the neighbourhood. Special thank you to our local police that ensured our students, staff and families were safe along the way.

A beautiful day to honour Terry!

* Monday, Oct. 5th is a Ped Day due to the provincial elections. We welcome students back on Tuesday for Picture Day! 📸

Maple Grove came together for a meaningful assembly. Grade 5 students read our Land Acknowledgement, created some years ago by past 6th graders. Our current Grade 6 leaders led our string activity.

The orange string represents our community coming together with care and connection. 🧡

A meaningful moment of reflection, learning, and unity for Orange Shirt Day.

This Wednesday, Sept. 30.

We have officially reached the halfway mark!! 50% of our goal has been raised. $500!!! Keep it up Maple Grove 🎉

Our Terry Fox Run is just ONE WEEK AWAY!! 🏃🏻‍♂️ 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🏃
