The flatter the sling angle, the more tension on the rigging. That’s why sling angle matters.
The WLL on your sling doesn’t mean you can lift that weight at every angle. As the angle decreases, the tension on each leg increases and your allowable load changes with it.
Of course angle is only one part of planning the lift. There are MANY other things to consider. But the simple takeaway: the flatter the angle the higher the tension.

Part of the reason as to why Royal is ambitious, fast growing, gritty, and always striving for more is because we risked everything and built it from absolutely nothing.
Our clients mean everything to us. We genuinely appreciate every single person that DM’s, emails, calls, and walks in. All of you make us better, and we couldn’t be happier to be making such a difference in people’s lives, and the BC economy. 🤟🏼
