Sustainability isn't a marketing checkbox for us. It's a set of standards we build to when a project calls for it.

Our factories are CSA A277-certified. We work with LEED Gold-compliant materials. And when a project needs Step Code performance or energy-efficient systems, we build to that spec, because offsite construction gives us the quality control to actually hit those numbers, not just claim them.

Not every project needs the same standard. But every project gets built to the standard it was designed for.

On September 10, you'll find Fort Modular in Nanaimo for Vancouver Island R.E.N.T., a full day dedicated to learning, networking, and strengthening the non-profit housing sector across the Island.

As summer winds down and students head back to class, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on another busy season of school and childcare projects across BC.

Since 2021, our team has delivered more than 40 education and childcare projects across the province, built off site while ground and site work happen in parallel, cutting typical timelines by up to 50 percent. That means schools and districts get their space faster, without compromising on safety, quality, or design.

We're about to drop the puck on another season of junior hockey 🏒

Mark DePedrina, Bryan DePedrina, and Rick Welch sat down with Jake Sawatzky, MP for New Westminster-Burnaby-Maillardville, to talk about Build Canada Strong and where modular fits into the bigger picture for BC and for Canada. Defence, infrastructure, and housing all came up as connected pieces of the discussion.

Dr. Kearney Middle School in Fort St. John needed more space, fast. Construction started last July — and by this spring, the new addition was open and welcoming students.

That's roughly half the time of a traditional build, delivered through prefabricated construction from Fort Modular.

Same standards. Same durability. A fraction of the wait. That's what offsite construction means for a growing community that can't afford to wait years for classroom space.

What a day out at the 2026 ICBA - Independent Contractors and Businesses Association Golf Open.

Fort Modular was proud to sponsor and attend this year's event at the stunning Swaneset Bay Resort & Country Club. Representing our team on the course were Chuck Chow, Jordan Steiger, Nial Senchyna, and Murray Velichko. It's always a great opportunity to step away from the job site and reconnect with industry colleagues.

Beyond a fun day on the course, the event raised 75,000 dollars for ICBA Foundation apprenticeship bursaries, helping the next generation of skilled trades professionals offset the cost of technical training. That's a cause worth celebrating.

Thank you to ICBA for putting together another great event, we're already looking forward to next year.
