It's that time of year! If you'd like a sign, please message me or comment below! Thank you so much for your support.
After 4 years, with so much progress now complete or underway, let's keep the progress going with an amazing team with a plan for even more Roads, Parks, and Facilities.

One of the many projects I've been so pleased come to life. This was so badly needed, for so long. Great to see what happens when action takes the place of excuses.
86 Avenue and 202 Street used to be one of the worst intersections in Langley, without a signal, crosswalks or a Council to fix it. Not anymore. Great to see it done, just as we said we would do.

After 20 years of talk, it was fun to be there for one of the first buses to Gloucester Industrial Estates. Transit service started on September 8.
This is a real win for business and workers that need it and deserve it, and hopefully just the beginning. A so-called "small one" that, after so many years of excuses, I am especially proud of getting done.
Employees and workers need and deserve transit options. Businesses in Gloucester have been paying millions per year in TransLink property taxes without any service whatsoever. That finally changed this week.
Thanks to Kevin Quinn, CEO of TransLink, for getting this done six months earlier than originally expected, to my Mayors' Council colleagues for supporting it, to Township of Langley staff for getting the needed transit stop pads installed in record time, and to the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce for their long-time advocacy for this as well.

Placemaking is important.
It helps to instill pride in where we live; it can bring little moments of joy to people's lives and add character to our neighbourhoods. Placemaking can take all sorts of different forms, but one way that I'd like to expand is our street banner program.
There's no shortage of possible locations, and with the right community partnerships, we can deliver beautiful, neighbourhood-defining artwork to all corners of our Township.
The Langley Regional Airport isn't going anywhere.
We made sure of that this term by completing a new Strategic and Land-Use Plan for YNJ. Alongside a governance review, a new Capital Plan and Financial Plan mean the airport is on the path to self-sufficiency. When I was going through the 2023 Township Budget line-by-line, I realized we needed to develop a plan for YNJ, and quickly. The hard work of our Airport Staff, other Township staff, and the fantastic engagement from the community have led to a plan that sets a great course for the next 20 years and beyond.
We worked and are working to make sure recreational pilots get to enjoy the airport for decades to come, with certainty and collaboration on big decisions as a key priority. We want to make sure the industrial tenants can continue to innovate, to build, to repair, and to manufacture, enhancing YNJ as a centre for excellence for rotary-wing aircraft.
And, crucially, we want to make sure the Canadian Museum of Flight stays in Langley.
We're on a path to sustainability, and we're on a course to an even more exciting future for the Langley Regional Airport.
That's Progress.

No bus stops without a bench.
There are 343 bus stops across the Township. Some are in rural areas, most are in urban areas, and many don’t have a bench. Our team believes that you shouldn’t be punished for taking the bus. Over the next 4 years, we will work to ensure there are no more bus stops without at least a bench.
The Township has always followed the same practice as most other municipalities: contract out the installation and maintenance of the benches. Starting day one of the new term, I’ll be working with our private partners to determine the feasibility of rapidly scaling up the program. There are many current bus stops that have pads ready to go, just no benches. We’ll start with those.
Our team believes that the little things matter in big ways. Giving people a place to sit while they wait for their bus is one of those big, little things. No more bus stops without a bench: that’s Progress for Langley.
Support local, support Canadian.
The Langley Community Farmers Market has had a fantastic season in Langley City at Douglas Park, but you still have two opportunities left to visit the Langley Events Centre Farmers Market and support local farmers and vendors. August 27 and September 3, make sure you visit before we're done for the season.
5:30-8:30 PM at the LEC, with the Township's Concert starting at 7:00 PM. See you there!
