🚨 THE DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! 🚨
After 16 years with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure, Dave has officially completed his final day of work! 🎉
As of tomorrow, he is officially RETIRED! 🥳
But before anyone starts picturing Dave sitting in a lawn chair with his feet up… 😂
Don’t worry — he already has a job!
For years, Dave has been running Touchdown Towing & Storage in his off hours while working full-time for the Ministry. Nights, weekends, holidays… if someone needed a tow, Dave was there. 🚛💨
Now that the Ministry chapter is coming to an end, Dave gets to do what he’s been doing all along — only FULL-TIME!
He is officially trading the Highway plow for the tow truck and will now be putting his time and energy into Touchdown Towing & Storage. 💪🚛
We’re excited for this next chapter and looking forward to being able to offer even more availability to our customers.
So congratulations, Dave! ❤️
16 years of Highway work = DONE.
Touchdown Towing = FULL-TIME.
Being his own boss = EVERY DAY. 😂
Here’s to retirement… although we’re pretty sure Dave has simply retired from having a boss! 😉
Thank you to everyone who has supported Dave throughout his years with Highways and to everyone who has supported Touchdown Towing over the years. We appreciate every call, every referral, and every customer who has trusted us to get them where they need to go.
The next chapter starts NOW! 🚛🏈💚

Always fun being in the centre of the action on race day at Flatlanders Speedway! 🏁🏎️💨
We like our job best when we don’t have to do anything… because that means everyone is racing, nobody has crashed, and nothing has broken down! 😂
But when somebody does have a little oops or needs a helping hand, you know where to find us — right there in the middle of the action, ready to recover the fumble! 🛻💪
Another great day at the track with the tow truck, the roar of the engines and a whole lot of racing excitement! 🏁❤️

Another tow operator is fighting for her life because someone failed to pay attention behind the wheel.
On Saturday afternoon, Kellie Glaneman of Blair’s Towing & Recovery was doing what thousands of towing and recovery professionals do every single day, helping clear a disabled vehicle from the roadway on eastbound Interstate 64 near Newtown Road in Virginia. Instead of going home to her three children, she was struck by a passing vehicle while loading a car onto her tow truck.
The injuries are devastating. According to her family, Kellie suffered multiple broken bones, a shattered elbow, shattered thumb, severe injuries to her hand, extensive damage to her hamstring, numerous fractures in her back, and remains hospitalized in serious condition. She is unable to move on her own and spends much of her time unconscious as doctors fight to help her recover.
This wasn’t an unavoidable accident. This was another reminder that every time a driver ignores emergency lights, fails to move over, or refuses to slow down, the people working inches from live traffic pay the price.
Tow operators, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, DOT workers, and roadside service providers deserve to go home at the end of their shift. They should never have to wonder if the next distracted, careless, or reckless driver is going to change their lives forever.
Slow Down Move Over Inc. asks everyone to keep Kellie Glaneman, her family, and the entire Blair’s Towing & Recovery family in your thoughts and prayers.
Move over.
Slow down.
Put the phone away.
Someone’s life depends on the decision you make in the next few seconds.

Proud Sponsor of the Wild West Mud Bogs
05/24/2026
Touchdown Towing just got a little bigger!
We’re excited to add this new-to-us deck truck to the lineup. This unit will help us better serve our customers with more hauling, recovery, and transport capabilities across Southwest Saskatchewan.
We’re grateful for everyone who continues to support our small business — every call, share, recommendation, and customer means a lot to us.
Keep an eye out for the newest member of the Touchdown Towing family! 🚛
Roads around the area are rough today — slushy, snow covered, drifting, and visibility is poor… at times zero visibility. Highway crews are fighting a never-ending battle with the slush and changing conditions.
It might be a good day to curl up and wait this one out.
If you do need to travel, slow down, give yourself extra time, and be prepared for quickly changing conditions. Stay safe out there, and give highway crews room to work.

At Touchdown Towing, we’re usually called after things go sideways…
…but on June 20th, we’re proudly one of the sponsors for the Wild West Mud Bogs in Leader — where things going sideways is kind of the whole point 😏
We’re also backing Austin as he takes on the mud, and we couldn’t be more proud.
It’s shaping up to be a great day with something for everyone — so come out, support local, and cheer loud!
The Wild West Mud Bog is rolling back into Leader Saturday, June 20!!
Expect mud flying, engines roaring, and a full day built for the whole family. From bouncy castles and kids’ races to food, drinks, and nonstop mud bog action, there’s something for everyone.
Round up your crew and plan to spend the day with us!
