He loves to bring inanimate metals to life in the form of organic creations. To many, metal may be considered rigid, unyielding, and unalterable, but to Darrell metal is just waiting to be made supple, eager to be transformed into its own distinctive aspect. Using the fire to undermine the metal's strength, using hammers to form the vision, making the tools to create the texture, the achieved result is an expression of the artist's imagination.
