🐲 TOP 5 PICKS OF THE WEEK 🐲

🦇 1. ABSOLUTE BATMAN #25 — Yeah, you guessed it. This is a BIG ONE. Best-selling comic book... ever? Yeah. It is. 😂 Absolute Batman hits its landmark 25TH ISSUE, and DC is keeping the solicitation VERY quiet: “All the villains. All the heroes. All the stakes. What’s left...of Absolute Batman?” That’s basically all they’re giving us. Cover A gets a massive TRIPLE GATEFOLD, plus there is a huge slew of variants to choose from — the Dell’Otto is a standout for me. This thing will probably go to 14 printings anyway... LOL, joking. Might as well load up now.

⚔️ 2. ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #25 — Another HUGE landmark 25th issue, another triple gatefold Cover A, but this one also brings us the FIRST APPEARANCE OF ABSOLUTE CHEETAH! Diana’s search for Barbara Minerva comes to a bloody end as one of Wonder Woman’s most iconic adversaries finally enters the Absolute Universe — and apparently she is NOT what anyone is expecting. Once again, the covers are killer. The Mark Brooks is a standout, plus there’s a Glow-in-the-Dark variant and a wraparound foil that both look awesome. Absolute title + milestone issue + major first appearance? Easy pick.

🏹 3. ABSOLUTE GREEN ARROW #6 — I would NOT pass on this one. This was originally supposed to be the final issue... except the series was just extended from 6 ISSUES TO 12! Apparently six issues weren’t enough, because this series has been that damn good. 😂 Green Arrow, Black Canary, Solomon Grundy and Hector Hammond all collide here, and we FINALLY learn the identity of the mysterious Green Arrow Killer. What was supposed to be the finale is now the launching point for another six issues, and DC is teasing even more revelations to come. This feels like one to grab.

🐑😈 4. FILTHY LAMBS #1 — Okay... what the hell is going on in this house?! The Grimaldi family has enjoyed generations of wealth and glory thanks to a contract with Their Lord Below. Ten years remain on the deal — but apparently Hell is getting impatient. The family patriarch slits his own throat in the basement, a demon watches from the shadows, something monstrous is stirring inside the house... and somehow there’s also a snapping turtle involved. 😂 This sounds like a seriously twisted mix of family drama, demonic horror, old money and a deal with the Devil that is starting to go VERY wrong. “A filthy little lamb can still have teeth.” Weird, dark and creepy. Yeah, I want to read this.

⚡🧟‍♀️ 5. THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN LIVES #1 — Honestly, that ARTGERM COVER almost sells this book by itself. It is GORGEOUS — and yes, there’s a foil version too! But there’s a lot more here than a pretty cover. Kelly Thompson and Mattia De Iulis, the team behind Absolute Wonder Woman, reunite for a brand-new Universal Monsters horror series. Born during a thunderstorm from stolen flesh, electricity and desperation, THE BRIDE LIVES. She has no memory of her past, no idea what she is, and now has to discover who created her while figuring out how the hell to survive in the world she’s been thrown into. Great creative team, classic Universal Monsters horror, and some absolutely beautiful covers. I’m in.

🔥 HONORABLE MENTIONS 🔥

⚡ ABSOLUTE FLASH #20 — FIRST APPEARANCE OF ABSOLUTE ATOM! The Absolute Universe keeps adding major characters, and I’m not passing on these first appearances.

🕷️ AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1002 — If you jumped aboard at #1000, why stop now? This issue gives us the origin of new villain Ravage!

💥 AVENGERS: ARMAGEDDON #4 MICHAEL CHO 2ND PRINTING — With the first printing hitting $25+, might as well take a shot on the second. This one could easily be underordered.

🔥 ARCHIE IN HELL #1 — Man, Archie is going through some stuff lately. First the Terminator, now he’s in HELL?! 😂 I’m enjoying this darker turn for Archie.

🦇 BATWOMAN #8 DAVID NAKAYAMA BAD SEEDS SPOT FOIL VARIANT — I think this particular cover is going to REALLY pop with the spot foil treatment.

🇺🇸 CAPTAIN AMERICA #16 RICCARDO FEDERICI FORESHADOW VARIANT — Okay... what exactly is being foreshadowed here? Is that Franklin Richards putting on Doom’s mask?! Definitely caught my attention.

🧱 DETECTIVE COMICS #298 FACSIMILE EDITION — The first appearance of the Silver Age Clayface, and the first time this classic issue has ever been reprinted!

👹 FIELD GUIDE TO LEGENDARY CREATURES OF THE UNITED STATES #1 — This sounds really unique. A comic-style field guide to America’s legendary creatures? Yeah, that could be fun.

🎃🔪 HALLOWEEN: THE GAME COMIC #1 — I’m a little confused why it’s called “The Game Comic” because the solicitation doesn’t really explain it. Is it a game? A comic based on a game? Who knows. 😂 Cool covers regardless!

🐙 IMMORTAL COIL #1 — Norse mythology reimagined through the lens of eldritch horror. That combination alone is enough to get my attention.

🌙 MARVEL MIDNIGHT #1 SECOND PRINTINGS — All three Midnight are getting second printings with new “Uncloaked” covers. Another shot at Marvel’s new body-horror event.

🌈 MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC (2026) #1 — Hell yeah, friendship is magic! 😂 Brand-new #1 for the ponies.

🍭🎃 POP KILL #1 SEASONAL FLAVORS HALLOWEEN VARIANT — Great Halloween cover and I KNOW it’s homaging something... I just cannot place what it is.

💀 PUNISHER #9 GEOFF SHAW ART STYLE VARIANT — What am I even looking at here?! LOL. Watch this weird thing end up becoming the expensive cover.

🌌 STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE — DARTH VADER #1 — Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Rogue One by revisiting the events from DARTH VADER’S perspective. That sounds pretty damn cool.

💍 SUPERMAN: THE WEDDING ALBUM 30TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL #1 — Celebrating 30 years of Superman and Lois! This book has some incredibly beautiful covers, but just LOOK at that Joshua Middleton variant. DAMN.

☀️ SUPERMAN UNLIMITED #18 — A NEW ERA BEGINS! New story arc with Superman and son taking flight together. Great jumping-on point.

✨ SUPERMAN #43 STEVAN SUBIC GLOW-IN-THE-DARK VARIANT — I HAVE to see this thing glow. The artwork looks like it was made specifically for the glow-in-the-dark treatment.

⚡ THOR #802 JORGE FORNÉS VARIANT — Love this cover. Very old-school comic art feel. Classic.

🐱 THUNDERCATS (2026) #1 — A brand-new series with a Mark Spears Cover A! Lion-O is transformed into the villainous FERAL KING, and there’s even a blind bag edition to chase.

♠️ WONDERLAND TRIALS #1 — Alice in Wonderland... in the year 2128. That’s enough to make me curious.

😬 ABSOLUTE BATMAN #24 CONDITION UPDATE 😬

We’ve been getting a ton of messages asking about the condition of Absolute Batman #24, so I figured I’d just make a post and show some pictures.

Yeah… they’re totally trashed. LOL.

Each copy has about a dozen heavy spine dings. I honestly can’t believe whoever was packing these at the warehouse looked at them and thought, “Yep, good to go!” 😂

We ordered exactly 70 copies and every single one arrived in the condition you see in the photos. It looks like some retailers got copies with less damage than ours, but it also seems like spine damage is affecting copies across the print run to varying degrees.

The same thing happened with Absolute Batman #20. Eventually a statement came out saying the damage was production-related and wouldn’t count against the grade at CGC, then issued a 2nd printing.

Can you imagine one of THESE sitting in a CGC 9.8 slab?! 🤪

As of right now, we haven’t heard anything from Lunar Distribution regarding replacements, but I can only assume something is being worked out. In the meantime, we’re going to hold off fulfilling pre-orders for this book until we know what’s happening with replacements.

This only affects Cover A.

Cheers!

🐲 TOP 5 PICKS OF THE WEEK 🐲

🎃🕷️ 1. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: HALLOWEEN SPECIAL #1 — HAPPY SPIDER-WEEN! This just sounds like a fun book for Halloween. Hallows’ Eve is attempting her biggest heist yet, and Spider-Man has to stop her before she puts the entire Marvel Universe in danger. But Marvel is also teasing a NEW SPIDER-MAN COSTUME and says there are some other Spidey secrets hidden inside the issue. New costume? Secrets? Halloween special? Could be something interesting hiding in here. Plus, there are some really fun covers to choose from. 🎃

🤖🍔 2. ARCHIE VS. THE TERMINATOR #1 — Who had ARCHIE VS. THE TERMINATOR on their 2026 bingo card?! LOL. I definitely did not see this coming. Teenage John Connor enrolls at Riverdale High, which naturally results in Archie and the entire gang ending up in the crosshairs of a Terminator. Because apparently this is the world we live in now. 😂 It’s a four-issue crossover from Rory McConville with Archie artists Steven Butler and Lily Butler, and there are some seriously “killer” covers to choose from. The Björn Barends variant is our favorite. Completely ridiculous. I’m in.

💀🔫 3. PREDATOR VS. PUNISHER #1 — There have been A LOT of “Predator Vs.” books... THIS is the one I’ve been waiting for. For the first time ever, Frank Castle goes head-to-head with a Predator! New York City becomes the hunting ground as a Predator arrives looking for worthy prey and finds exactly what it wants in the Punisher. Crime bosses are dropping, the body count is climbing, and eventually two of the most ruthless killers in comics are going to collide. Predator vs. Punisher just makes WAY too much sense. This should be brutal.

🧠💚 4. ACTION COMICS #1103 — LEX LUTHOR: YEAR ONE BEGINS! Mark Waid and Patricio Delpeche begin what DC is calling the definitive origin of Superman’s greatest enemy. Before Lex was Superman’s nemesis, President of the United States, billionaire mastermind, and one of the most dangerous men on Earth... he was Clark Kent’s school-age contemporary. Now we go back to the beginning and find out exactly how Lex Luthor became LEX LUTHOR. Great jumping-on point and a chance to dig into the early years of one of the greatest villains in comics.

🧱🦇 5. CLAYFACE #1 SPECIAL EDITION — First off, this book is only $1 USD. Because it’s so cheap, after we bag and board it and pay our shipping costs, we actually LOSE money selling these things. 😂 So unfortunately, this is one of the rare items where we cannot offer our normal 15% pre-order discount. But seriously... IT’S A BUCK. Do yourself a favor and grab a few copies. This special edition is timed for DC Studios’ upcoming Clayface movie and includes Matt Hagen’s first appearance from Detective Comics #298, “If a Man Be Clay,” and a preview of Clayface: Celebrity Dirt #1. For a buck? Load up.

🔥 HONORABLE MENTIONS 🔥

🎃 10.31 #1 — A Roman soldier cursed to wander the Earth for eternity must fight off ravenous demons. Just in time for Halloween!

💥 247 COMICS PRESENTS / SPOTLIGHT #1 — Five different stories in one book with some notable talent attached. Could be something worth hanging onto if one of these properties takes off.

🐈‍⬛ ABSOLUTE CATWOMAN #4 — Phenomenal series so far! The Isa Works variant is our top cover pick.

🕷️ AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1000 2ND PRINTING — I’m expecting this one to be underordered. Take that however you want.

💥 AVENGERS: ARMAGEDDON #5 — The crucial bridge between Armageddon #4 and the upcoming Avengers #1. I AM MIRACLE MAN — WITNESS ME!

🦇 BATMAN #227 FACSIMILE EDITION — Classic chilling Batman story with one of Neal Adams’ most iconic covers.

🦇 BATMAN: BAD SEEDS — STREETS OF GOTHAM #1 — Six stories of survival, including work from Matt Fraction. And that Kyuyong Eom variant is WILD.

🇺🇸 CAPTAIN AMERICA #15 SKAN 2ND PRINTING — Have you seen what the first printing is selling for?! And was that first print in our Honorable Mentions when it went up for order? YUP! Don’t sleep on the second printing.

🎲 CREATURES & CORRIDORS TPB — Award-winning graphic novel now available in a smaller paperback format. I’ve personally read this one and it’s AWESOME. Dungeons & Dragons? Naw... Creatures & Corridors!

⚔️ DEAD SAMURAI #6 3RD PRINTING NSFW POLYBAGGED — This sexy sold-out cover gets ANOTHER printing, and this time it’s NSFW.

🌊 EMPEROR AQUAMAN #22 CONNECTING COVERS B & C — Probably one of the nicest connecting cover sets I’ve seen in a LONG time.

🤪 FORT PSYCHO #1 3RD PRINTING — This series is completely unhinged. Missed it so far? Here’s another chance.

🔨 HAMMER HEAD #1 — We literally JUST had a series called Hammerfist. Now Hammer Head. What’s next... Hammer Foot?!

🌑 HELLO DARKNESS #26 — I have to mention this every single time it comes up for order. My favorite horror anthology ever.

🏎️ IRON MAN: RACING TOWARDS DOOM #1 — Iron Man meets Formula 1, with real-life F1 drivers appearing in the comic. Definitely something different!

⚡ LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #2 — The solicitation teases the creation of a “new kind of Legion”... but can we talk about that Eckman-Lawn variant?! Is he smelling that thing? Eating it? What the hell is happening?! 😂

📡 NO ONE ESCAPES THE DIALECTIC #1 — Claims to be “the world’s most dangerous comic book magazine.” Whatever that means. Sounds interesting enough to find out.

⚫ RADIANT BLACK #44 — A brand-new story arc begins. Great jumping-on point!

🧟 RESIDENT EVIL: DEATH ISLAND VOL. 1 TP — Manga adaptation of the hit Resident Evil animated movie!

💀 SPAWN 77 #2 — I loved issue #1, so there’s absolutely no chance I’m passing on #2.

🌌 STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU — NIGHTMARE ON NEVARRO — A spooky Star Wars adventure where not everything is what it seems.

🐢 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: SHREDDER #13 — LOVE that Clayton Crain Variant B.

🧟 ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #21 FACSIMILE EDITION — FIRST APPEARANCE OF THE MARVEL ZOMBIES! The original is a major modern key, and now it gets the facsimile treatment.

❌ UNCANNY X-MEN #37 — Killer Cover A, plus Logan vs. The Hag. CLAW VS. CLAW!

🐺 X-MEN: OUTBACK #5 CHRIS ALLEN VARIANT — This cover has a seriously awesome ’90s comic-book feel to it.

🇺🇸 SH*T MY PRESIDENT SAYS: THE ILLUSTRATED TWEETS OF DONALD J. TRUMP TPB — Love him or hate him, he has certainly posted some memorable stuff. This collects a selection of Trump’s tweets in illustrated form.

🔥🐉 There is a LOT to dig through this week! Halloween books are starting to take over, we’ve got some completely unexpected crossovers, great facsimiles, killer covers, and plenty of strange indie stuff hiding further down the list.
