lethbridge - ab - jazz collective Jazz Charts, establishing themselves as a rising force in Canada’s jazz scene.
Midnight Channel (Lethbridge, AB) made a powerful debut with their album “Gemini Sunrise”, hitting #10 on the National Earshot! Their sound blends the boundary-pushing spirit of 1960s cosmic free jazz with the vibrant energy of modern jazz. Infused with elements of contemporary post-bop, Japanese fusion, and neo-soul grooves, Midnight Channel brings a sound that’s both rooted in tradition yet refreshingly modern—perfect for longtime jazz fans and first-time listeners alike. Their live performances are an explosion of energy, soaring improvisations, and contagious joy, transforming the stage into a sacred space where audiences are held spellbound. today is bandcamp friday and we released TWO records.
if you pick up one of the new live records released today — or any of our albums — the money comes directly to us.
more than the financial support, it reminds us there are people out there who listen to our music. share ideas. support each other. care about local art. people want to build a community of similar artists and tastes.
the two live albums out today capture different sides of the band:
RED MODE — focused and direct.
GREEN MODE — deeper drifts and open exploration.
~thank you everyone along this journey for listening
ain't even half of 'em
BUCKET!!!!!
Lethbridge appreciation post!
can claim our “first set” and where many of us started.
lethbridge is home, and we’re really grateful to have a base of friends, supporters, and spaces that give us the confidence to venture out.
we don’t take that lightly.
thanks for everything 🫶
