Downtown Clean Sweep Program

Whether it is raking leaves in the fall, shovelling snow in the winter, sweeping up sand and gravel in the springtime, or picking up trash throughout the year, the Clean Sweep Program (CSP) works diligently to keep our downtown streets & sidewalks clean. The Clean Sweep Program (CSP) is a fee-for-service program funded by the City of Lethbridge and managed and operated by the Downtown Business Revitalization Zone (BRZ). Core services provided by the program include cleaning up garbage, sweeping sidewalks, shovelling snow, basic landscaping including watering and flower planting, and other related needs. In addition to keeping the urban core clean, the CSP is rooted in offering individuals, many whom are experiencing homelessness, the opportunity to engage in barrier-free entry-level employment related activities such as in Downtown Lethbridge. The participants in the CSP programming are supported in developing employment skills and financial literacy skills, and are connected to opportunities to transition into regular employment within the program and with local employers.
