Yellowbird Learning Centre
Yellowbird Learning Centre provides engaging learning opportunities for school-aged children (4-10) that focus on mindfulness, nature, and culture.
Children can teach us the most precious and valuable lessons in life. I was always a futurist thinking about what life would be like five years from now. I always wanted to just 'be there' and never lived in 'the here and now'. After having my daughter, I realized the importance of being present. Every moment I spent with her is about her and nothing else. She grounds me and keeps me focused. She helps me find balance and gives me so much joy in life. I cherish those moments and strive to stay focused on living this lesson everyday. Having battled anxiety for years, I know how challenging it can be to cope with stressors and I see it in my daughter as well as she grows up. As a result, my goal is to create an educational experience for learners that helps to build strategies and techniques for dealing with mental health challenges at an early age. We also help foster creativity and innovation through art activities and social skills that helps build confidence. The younger you learn, the more chance you have to practice. Our mission is for children to learn to live balanced, happy, and healthy lives through engaging in our programs. Yellowbird Learning Centre brings my many passions in life full circle - education, children, art, nature, culture, social well-being, diversity, and leadership. Building this community has always been my dream and I am so happy and very proud to be living the dream everyday. We welcome your children and family to join us on this learning journey! Warmly,
Candace

Kids love to dig in the dirt and watch things grow, and gardening is a natural extension of these interests. In addition to dirt under their nails and smudges on their knees, kids can gain so much from gardening — physically, intellectually, and emotionally.
Introducing kids to the joy and benefits of gardening from an early age will help them in ways that you may not have anticipated!
