Leaving the Canadian Rockies today and something kept coming back to me.
These mountains exist because of tension. Tectonic plates pushing, pressing, holding pressure against each other for millions of years... and then releasing it. That release is what pushed the peaks up, carved the valleys, shaped all of this beauty we’ve been soaking up.
I can’t stop thinking about how true that is for us too. The tension we hold, the pressure we carry, it’s not separate from who we become. Sometimes the release of tension is exactly what shapes the raw and wild beauty in us.

One more round from the Rockies. Fall is here, and it seems winter is already announcing itself.
One more round of beauty from the Rockies.
There’s something about watching a season change from when we first spend some time here 2 weeks ago, the gold radiating and beaming as the cold air announcing that winter is coming, blows into the night. No rush, just unfolding … what a way of life!

What a cool ride that offered a very different kind of experience!!!
We rode the Myra Canyon Trestles overlooking Kelowna, BC.
Such a raw marvel of nature meeting the architectural genius of people who built these train trestles right into the mountains.... and the pure joy of experiencing it all from two wheels.
We even saw a Pika ... a little creature that’s usually very elusive (see pictures).

Another amazing 12km paddle through clear waters and amazing colours of Kalamalka Lake.
And… a well deserved treat at the end.

After three days of staying in Golden, we are on our way to the Okanagan Valley and the mountains and clouds are putting on a great show on our morning drive ♥️
In the middle of a good hike, sinking our feet into the cold, falls-charged water is so good and nourishing. ♥️💦👍
