Last night, Alouette Cemetery welcomed a very special group of visitors — a fearless busload of seniors who decided to spend their evening with the undead.
They braved the fog, laughed at the jokes, and didn’t flinch once… not even when the cauldron hissed back.
We’d like to think it’s proof that courage — and curiosity — only get stronger with age. 💀❤️
Ah yes, the mysterious visitors from …here one moment, vanished the next!
Rumour has it they snapped a photo with the pumpkins before vanishing into the night. Very stylish. Very swift.
They were in and out faster than a ghost on espresso, but we love that you included us in your spooky staff adventure!
In the daylight, it almost looks peaceful. When night falls, we’re still dead… just better lit. ⚡️

BREAKING NEWS FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE
Authorities were called to Alouette Cemetery late last night after one of the resident skeletons attempted an unauthorized exit from the premises. Ridge Meadows RCMP arrived promptly and caught the culprit mid-mischief near the gates. No bones were harmed in the incident, though witnesses report a fair amount of rattling.
Officials remind the public that all skeletal residents are expected to remain within the cemetery grounds after dark.
UPDATE:
Ridge Meadows RCMP confirm the skeleton was apprehended without incident and returned safely to the cemetery.
The suspect claimed it was “just stretching its legs.”
Case closed — all bones accounted for.

Early morning maintenance. I’m rebuilding the mechanism for our crouching skeleton. You’ll see him on the far corner of the south lawn this year as he makes way for our newest prop, .It’s only 22 days until set up begins for the fifth anniversary of We hope you’ll stop by and see why this place has become a Halloween tradition.

DIY Build Breakdown: Sculpting and Painting
After assembling and posing Reginald’s body, it was time to give his head the attention it deserved.
That meant removing it from the body — It’s much easier to sculpt and paint his head when it’s not wobbling around on a spine 7 ft up in the air.
➡️ Sculpting
• I used Apoxie® Sculpt to refine his features.
• I focused on building up the brow ridge to give him that arrogant, pompous scowl and a more dramatic, theatrical look. The change is intentionally subtle, yet quite dramatic.
• Apoxie Sculpt takes about 24 hours to fully cure. Once hardened, light sanding smoothed the edges so the new sculpt blended seamlessly with the resin skull.
➡️ Painting
• Base coat: matte bone white.
• Applied light washes of acrylic colour. You want to build up the surface slowly to avoid a ‘plastic’ look.
• I used a UV light to continuously check the coverage of the paint and avoid splotching, simulating the lighting he will be under out in the display.
• Brown washes work like a stain — rubbed off quickly, leaving subtle aging in the creases.
• I went back in with bone colour, layering back and forth to create a realistic surface texture.
• Sealed everything with a matte clear coat for durability.
Once painted, sealed and reattached, Reginald was ready for his next phase: wardrobe — learning how to distress his pristine suit so it looks like he crawled out of the grave…
