Taking over Memorial Peace Park and the Downtown Core, this free, all-day community event brings together live music, local food trucks, cold drinks, family-friendly activities, and plenty of reasons to spend the day downtown.

The licensed event site will span Memorial Peace Park to 224 Street, with multiple stages and activity areas throughout, plus The Patch Brewery pouring all day.

We’re proud to support an event that brings our community together, and we’re looking forward to another great year of Our Neck of the Woods. We hope to see you there!

A significant change to B.C.’s Provincial Sales Tax is coming this fall.

Effective October 1, 2026, the Province of B.C. will expand the 7% PST to several professional services that have historically been exempt, including accounting and bookkeeping, architectural, engineering, and geoscience services, security services, and certain non-residential real estate services.

For architectural, engineering, and geoscience services, PST will apply to 30% of the total service fee rather than the full amount.

These changes may have important implications for both businesses providing these services and those purchasing them.

With October 1 approaching, now is the time to understand how the new rules may affect your business and prepare accordingly.
