🚨 A LITTLE MARKET REMINDER FOR PARENTS 🚨

I’m going to say something that I know might ruffle a few feathers, but after this past weekend, I really feel like it needs to be said. ❤️

Please supervise your children when they are visiting vendor tables at markets.

This past weekend, we had a mom come into our tent with her 3 boys and nephew. The boys were extremely rambunctious and, while Mom was looking at products on one side of the tent, they decided it was time to unleash a little CHAOS on the other side. 😬

They were touching things, moving things around, and unfortunately damaging some of my products.

I tried to get their attention, but nothing seemed to be working. It wasn’t until I finally raised my voice and said, “Hey boys, out of the tent!” that Mom looked up.

She apologized, purchased a few things, and sent the boys away. At the time, I thought that was the end of it.

Unfortunately, while going through my inventory after the market, I discovered even more damage that I wasn’t aware of at the time. 😔

I am now out approximately $150 worth of products.

And honestly, that hurts.

We are small businesses. We spend countless hours designing, making, packaging, labeling and preparing the products you see on our tables. When something gets broken, opened, crushed, dropped, or damaged, we don’t have a big company behind us to absorb that loss. It comes directly out of our pockets.

So please, I am begging you:

❤️ If your little ones are at an age where they can’t resist touching everything, please keep a close eye on them around vendor tables.

❤️ Please remind them that these aren’t toys—they are someone’s handmade products and livelihood.

❤️ And if something does get damaged, please let the vendor know. We’d much rather know what happened than discover it later.

I absolutely LOVE seeing families and children at markets. Kids are welcome at my table! 🥰

But vendors’ tables are not playgrounds, and our products aren’t there for little hands to experiment with.

Please remember that behind every table is a small business owner who has put their time, money, heart and hard work into what they’re selling.

A little supervision can save a small business from a very expensive lesson. ❤️
