Two weeks into our 50/50 raffle and we’re chugging along. The jackpot is already at $6,560, and we still have six weeks to make it grow. Imagine the excitement if we hit $70,000 and someone walks away with $35,000 — what an incredible win that would be.

If you are new to our page and our sanctuary here is a little bit of info: Our sanctuary is funded entirely by the public. This support covers ongoing veterinary care, feed, facility supplies, and the repairs and maintenance required to keep our shelter running. Fundraisers like this 50/50 raffle help us meet the continual costs of caring for more than 90 animals on site, along with another 30 living in permanent foster homes.

Lima Bean has been a Saints for 2 and a half years. He came to us from Delta Community Animal Shelter
Lima is a homebody, he enjoys short bursts of action outside with his friends, but he is usually first to come back in. This guy had a rough start. He values stability and safety. He knows all too well what it is like without.

Sometimes limbs have to be amputated to provide better quality of life. Hobby is missing his front right leg. We don't know why it was removed or when. We have had a number of specialists assess Hobby and use pain control medication to ensure his left front leg arthritis pain is kept at bay. Hobby is an incredibly sweet cat! We work hard at keeping him comfortable and will continue to do so for the rest of his life.

Odie has passed away.

Jo adopted Odie and Stanley from us back in November 2022. These two dogs came to SAINTS after their owner went into hospice. She adored her dogs and wanted to make sure they were cared for after she passed. Jo fell for these two immediately.

Stanley passed away in 2024. Jo believes that the best way to honour a loved one who passes is to adopt another. After Stanley's passing, the family came out to meet (and instantly loved) our Tassy. Odie loved other dogs. He missed Stanley but accepted Tassy right away and adored her too. A few months later another couple of dogs joined the family.

Odie was diagnosed with cancer last year. Jo knew his time was limited. Odie lived a great big life. He was loved for every single minute of it.

Jo is devastated. Our sincerest condolences to Jo and her family 😞
