We stencilled the florals, dragons & script, while the vines & leaves were all free handed. This project was the largest I had taken on at that point, & we chipped away at it only 3hrs at a time while her sweet son was at preschool, so a lot of time & patience went into getting this done. I'm beyond thrilled with how it turned out 🖤

When we met, E wasn't sure what she wanted. All she knew for sure was that she was ready to reclaim her story. She didn't want the scars covered up, she wanted them transformed. She also wanted a piece that would capture a feeling; one of inner turmoil, strength, beauty. Honouring the past & the journey towards healing.

This piece is something I'm incredibly proud of, & as always, I'm so very grateful for the trust put in me over & over again to help people tell their stories.

Sometimes tattoos are meaningful. They can represent a moment in time, a feeling, a memory. Sometimes tattoos are silly, or beautiful, or happen to be just the right shape to fill a gap. Sometimes they're transformative. They feel like empowerment, & self-love.
K was always self-conscious about her legs. Like many of us, she spent far too much time thinking she'd get the tattoo when she changed her appearance. But you deserve to love yourself & your body in every stage, shape & size. Now she has a piece of art that she loves, that has helped her feel more comfortable in her own skin, & has even given her the confidence to show it off.
