Fraser Valley Addictions & Recovery HUB
Building stability. Nourishing lives. Fostering hope.
Maya met him three weeks after she got into recovery. He was kind, funny, and understood things she had never been able to explain to anyone else. When she had a hard day, he was the first person she called. Soon, he was the only person she called.
At first, they talked about getting better together. Then one of them missed a treatment appointment to be with the other. They stopped going to their groups. Maya spent her rent money helping him through a rough week, and he promised he would help her make it back. They loved each other, but when one of them was struggling, the other got pulled in too.
After an argument, he relapsed. Maya went looking for him and found him barely breathing. She gave him naloxone and called for help. He survived. Someone they both knew had died from a poisoned drug supply the month before, and for a while, the fear of that night made them both want to change.
But fear didnโt give them a plan. They got back together, and within weeks Maya had stopped taking care of herself again. When she relapsed, she was alone. She woke up in the hospital with no memory of how she got there.
A beautiful day of hope, connection, and community at Fraser Valley Recovery Day. ๐
We were grateful to connect with so many individuals, families, service providers, and community members who believe that recovery is possible. Every conversation helps reduce stigma and reminds people that they do not have to walk this journey alone.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and learned more about Fraser Valley Addictions & Recovery Hub.
Building stability, nourishing lives, fostering hope.

A huge thank you to Amazon Canada for their generous donation of chairs to support our clinic resources in Maple Ridge and Abbotsford! ๐
These chairs will help us create more comfortable, welcoming spaces for the people who access our services. Small things like having a safe and comfortable place to sit can make a meaningful difference when someone is reaching out for support.
Weโre incredibly grateful to the Amazon team for thinking of our organization and supporting the work we do in our community.
Thank you for helping us Build Stability, Nourish Lives, and Foster Hope. ๐

A heartfelt thank you to Food Link Society for their continued support of our community! ๐๐ฑ
Each week, Food Link provides rescued food that we distribute to patients at our Maple Ridge clinic and housing clients in Abbotsford. These deliveries help make nutritious food more accessible while supporting the health, stability, and well-being of the people we serve.
Through their work, Food Link has been able to rescue surplus food, reduce food waste, and redirect valuable resources into communities like ours. Their efforts help address food insecurity while ensuring that good food is put to use rather than going to waste.
We are incredibly grateful to Food Link Society for making Fraser Valley Addictions & Recovery Hub part of this work and for the difference their support makes each week. Together, we can help ensure that good food reaches the people who need it.

We appreciate you, Dr. Jill, for sharing your knowledge and bringing the science and health perspective to something that is too often judged, misunderstood, or even joked about.
The โfentanyl foldโ is something many people have seen, but may not understand what is actually happening in the body or why. Hearing the science behind it and understanding the health reasons associated with it helps replace judgment with knowledge and compassion.
Thank you for taking the time to educate and bring attention to a topic we donโt hear discussed nearly enough. This was incredibly interesting and important to learn about. ๐ ๐ฅฐ
A small choice today can make a difference tomorrow. Whether itโs reaching out for support, taking a break, setting a boundary, or choosing to keep going, every step counts ๐
