An idol is anything the moves in our life to become more central, more needed, more deeply capturing our hearts than God himself.

As we jump into a new series exploring the life of Jeremiah, the invitation to each of us is to hear the voice of God, calling us back from our drifting and towards His heart- the only place where we can truly b experience security, acceptance, and love in its most pure form.

This Sunday marked the end of our True Riches series, and we closed by praying together with a liturgical prayer to help draw each of our hearts toward a posture of love that overflows into practical generosity.

Young or old. Wealthy or poor. From abundance or from need. We are all invited to join in with the overwhelmingly gracious love of God to pour out our whole lives (even our finances) to Jesus.

This prayer, originally from Church of the City NY, helps us to frame our minds and eyes towards the way of Jesus and a life of generosity.

A practical way to give right here and now is the BACKPACK BLESSING- as we seek to fill and offer 800 packs filled with school supplies to students across our region. $20 fills one backpack, and together we are joining in the work of redemption for kids in our city to walk into their school year with what they need to learn and grow.

If you missed this Sunday, we wanted to give you a chance to meet Zach, our new Director of Ministry Operations 🎉 🙌🏼

Joining our team full time after already being a part of the Ridge Community, we are so excited to welcome Zach and for how his gifts of service, administration and wisdom will continue to help our church grow in health and not just numbers.

As we continue to navigate the challenges that come with those God is bringing to Ridge, we are expectant for God to work in Zach’s ministry role to help us build and manage teams, create smooth pathways into deeper community, and continue to enable our city to encounter Jesus in both word and deed.

Join us in praying for Zach as he gets settled, that God would work in and through him, and around Ridge Church!

The paradox of generosity, researched at Notre Dame University and collecting data from more than 2000 adults, suggests that Jesus wasn’t kidding about money - it really is better to give than to receive.

Our generosity shapes and reshapes us towards seeing with healthy eyes, and the way of Christ leads us towards a transformed mind that understands money not as a scarcity to be hoarded, but a gift to be shared.
