Himmat is back on Prime Time TV promoting reycling tips and habits!

This time, our recycling hero joined Recycle BC and appeared on Vancouver Island CTV News, highlighting ways to be mindful about recycling this back to school season.

It’s important to remind kids about each type of recyclable item in their lunch box. Through repetition and positive reinforcement, kids can learn and inspire others!

Visit our website and head over to our NEWS page to watch Himmat’s interview on CTV – Your Morning Show!

Stop throwing these in the garbage - Rigid Plastics can now be brought to the Maple Ridge Recycling Centre for recycling! This new category includes old plastic laundry baskets, lawn furniture, kids' toys, totes, crates, bins, and more! Learn the interesting reason we can now accept these items at https://rmrecycling.org/news/rigid-plastics-now-accepted/

We love to hear how our Repair Cafés make a difference in the community! It's great seeing people choose to repair their items instead of throwing them away. Every repair helps keep items out of the landfill, and we're grateful to everyone who visits our cafés and joins us on our mission to give items a second life!

The 2026 summer recycling centre tours have officially come to an end. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us this season– we had a blast sharing our facility with you!

We hope everyone who attended our tours will go home and share their knowledge with their friends and family. Building a greener future starts with all of us working together to share knowledge about why proper recycling practices are important.

We look forward to seeing you next year!
