🍂 Fall is officially here!

⌛ Today, September 22nd, is Fall Equinox! The word Equinox means equal day and night - as the sun is directly above the equator, the split of daylight and darkness is near 50/50 (though due to refraction of light, the even split often comes a few days later).

🚜 For us in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, the agricultural season is far from over! The fruits and vegetables in season move from sweet berries and tomatoes to autumn staples like cranberries, corn and pumpkins.

🌽 The season also brings with it the fun of corn mazes and pumpkin patches for the public to visit, and experience a bit of agriculture first-hand.

The Alouette Men's Shed has been a huge supporter of our fair for years! If you took a walk on our sturdy patio this year, or sat at our covered picnic tables, you experienced the products of their hard work! They even helped guests find spots to park at our RCMP Musical Ride event!

The Men's Shed is a great addition to our community, and we are lucky to be able to host and encourage their work down here at the fairgrounds. As an affiliate of the Men's Shed Association of BC, they promote positive mental health and provide a group for all men in the community to gather in.

Thanks so much to the Alouette Men's Shed for all their help with the fair! We heavily encourage you all to go check them out if you want to participate in all the hard work they do!

Here are our winners for the 2026 Fair Photography Competition!

A massive thanks to everyone who sent their photos in! Whether winners or not, all your pictures were amazing and it was fantastic to see all the fun you had at the fair!

If you want another opportunity to win, come to the our fair next summer! The Country Fest always takes place in the last week of July - that is July 23rd to 25th, 2027, so mark your calendars and be there!

The HOPE FOR FREEDOM SOCIETY is a local organization that empowers men and women with the resources, education, and compassionate support they need to break free from addiction and establish a new life.

They help out in our communities by offering comprehensive recovery programs, outreach to those struggling with homelessness, and volunteering at community events.

Our RCMP Musical Ride event was one that they helped out with. They were generous enough to lend us some extra sets of hands to help set-up and take-down such a great event for you all!

We had amazing turnout for our RCMP Musical Ride event this past week! Lots of work has gone into putting this event together, so we wanted to shout out some our our partners!

Go show them lots of appreciation, because community events like Country Fest, Home Show, the RCMP Musical Ride, and many others would not be possible without the generosity of these groups!
