The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The Color Monster!

Throughout the week, the children worked hard on a special Father’s Day picture frame project. Each child was given a frame with their photo already placed inside, along with wooden heart shapes in three different sizes. The children carefully explored different arrangements, choosing where they wanted each heart to go on their frame. Once they were happy with their design, we took a photo to remember their unique layout.

The children then painted their wooden hearts using acrylic paints, expressing their creativity through color and design. After the paint had dried, the teachers used hot glue to attach the hearts to the frame according to each child’s original arrangement. This project encouraged creativity, decision-making, fine motor development, and a sense of pride in creating a personalized gift for Father’s Day. The children were excited to make something special for their dads and families to treasure.

The children enjoyed making sensory bottles by adding colorful beads, stars, and other shiny objects to a bottle, then filling it with colored water. This fun activity promoted sensory exploration, creativity, and fine motor development while creating a beautiful calming bottle to observe and enjoy. ✨

The children worked on a fun inchworm craft using colorful beads and pipe cleaners. As they carefully threaded the beads, they practiced fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. It was wonderful to see one child helping a friend, demonstrating kindness, cooperation, and teamwork while creating their inchworms together.

Outside snack

“Children created beautiful flowers using markers and water droppers. As they added water, they observed how the colors mixed and spread, turning their drawings into unique watercolor flowers while strengthening fine motor skills and creativity.”

Exploring nature through art! The children used real leaves to create beautiful prints while developing creativity, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for the wonders of nature. 🌿✨

The last week , the children created a colorful apple using the marble painting technique. They rolled paint-covered marbles across the paper, watching as the marbles created unique lines and patterns inside the apple shape.

This fun process art activity encouraged creativity while helping children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and control of movement. The children were excited to see the beautiful designs their marbles created, making each apple one of a kind!
