A local finishing carpenter put this set together and I think it’s pretty cool. I like that it’s ink and not lead. I just believe it’s a cleaner, consistent scribe. I see it coming in handy for beam work and tough scribes against stone. I still have a go to scribe tool for doing base. Made by . In no way is this a sponsored ad, just thought it’s cool.

I hate doing hardware in tile. I had a job go sideways when drilling , so for the last few years I’ve asked the tile or glass guys to do it. Seems inconvenient for everyone do I think I’ll start drilling them again. Just need the right tools.

In the past, we would drill a hole and jigsaw out the plugs. Since I’m already routing I figured it would be more efficient if I had a two plunge system, and it was way more efficient and accurate. I just wish I had more thought about having two vacuums going instead of switching back and forth.

Wall needs another coat or two of paint but it will be my last time seeing it. Door hung with 3 e190 Sugatsune hinges. Closes onto their heavy duty push latch.

Added step with these Emtek handles, but with a quick and dirty jig, installing these handles is a breeze. Using the Festool CXS18 and Quadrive.

Backing for bathroom hardware during rough-in stage makes my life significantly easier later. Often overlooked, it’s vital to have backing for your hardware. At the end of the day, just assume a kid is going to pull/hang on it at some point. Backing also prevents you from hitting a pipe/vent with a screw.

Need to add a black pile weatherstrip to get that top line to disappear. But pretty happy with how this turned out .
