Join us for Maple Ridge Fire Rescue’s second annual Fire Prevention Week Open House on Saturday, October 3 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM at Fire Hall 4!

Spend the afternoon with our members, explore the fire hall and apparatus, watch live demonstrations, and take part in interactive fire safety activities for all ages.

A BBQ will also be available by donation, with proceeds supporting the Maple Ridge Firefighters Charitable Society.

We’re looking forward to welcoming the community back to Hall 4 for a fun filled afternoon!

Yesterday, some of our off-duty and retired members took part in the Randy Lupul Charitable Softball Tournament in Port Coquitlam!

25 years ago today, the events of September 11, 2001 changed countless lives forever.

Maple Ridge Fire Rescue remembers the nearly 3,000 lives lost, including the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the families, first responders and communities forever impacted by that day.

Their service and sacrifice continue to be remembered by the fire service here in Maple Ridge and around the world.

Congratulations to Deputy Chief Bryan Vinje on 25 years of dedicated service!

Chief Vinje has served communities across the Lower Mainland and continues to bring his experience, leadership, and commitment to Maple Ridge Fire Rescue. His dedication to the fire service and to those he works alongside has made a lasting impact throughout his career.

A Platoon is on duty this Labour Day, ready to respond across our community.

Labour Day recognizes the contributions of workers and the labour movement that helped shape many of the rights and protections workers have today. For firefighters, that history is closely connected to the International Association of Fire Fighters.

Labour Day or any day, our crews answer the call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Last weekend, Maple Ridge Firefighter Cam St. Amand put together an impressive performance at Canada’s Strongest Man.

Cam finished 5th overall among some of the strongest athletes in the country and took first place in the deadlift event with an incredible 800 lb pull.

Congratulations, Cam, on an incredible accomplishment!

Three working structure fires. One shift.

Yesterday, C Platoon reported for duty and responded to more than 25 calls for service across the city during their 24 hour shift, including three working structure fires.

Every day, our crews continue to answer the call across Maple Ridge. As our community continues to grow, so does the need for emergency services. Behind every response are firefighters who are ready, committed, and dedicated to protecting the people and places that make our community home.

At this time, all fires are still under investigation.

Paid On-Call Firefighters receive comprehensive training and develop skills in emergency response, teamwork, and leadership while making a meaningful impact in our community.
