Here is the part nobody tells you before an interprovincial move: government systems are not connected. Changing your address in one place does not change it anywhere else. You have to do each one yourself.
In Ontario, the law gives you six days to update your driver's licence and vehicle permit, and thirty days for your health card. Both are free and both can be done online through a ServiceOntario account.
Leaving Ontario for good? Your OHIP coverage runs until the last day of the second full month after you go. After that, you need coverage in your new province, so apply the week you land, not the month after.
And set up mail forwarding before loading day, not after. Everything that still goes to the old address goes to a stranger.
Save this for your next move.

Great review from Majd... "I recently contacted Centennial Moving to arrange a move from Toronto to Vancouver. So far, I have dealt with Wayne Collins who has been great. Wayne explained the entire process in detail and was very responsive and patient while I asked my questions. Their quote was also very reasonable compared to others I received.
I have booked with them for my upcoming move. Please note this is initial feedback on the booking stage only. I will update this review once the move is complete to share how the rest of the process goes."

Six days. That is what Ontario law gives you to update your driver's licence and vehicle permit after a move. Your health card gets thirty.
The part that catches people out: changing your address in one place does not change it anywhere else. Government systems are not connected, so every department needs to hear from you separately — licence, health card, benefits, pension payments.
Both the licence and the health card are free to update, and both can be done online through a ServiceOntario account. Ten minutes, sitting on a box, the night you arrive.
Save this for your next move.
