Today we honour Indigenous Peoples worldwide — their cultures, languages, and generations of knowledge.
Solidarity isn’t symbolic. It’s a responsibility.

🎥Every Education Worker Wednesday, we’re sharing real stories from the frontline of Ontario’s public schools, the people who make better schools possible.
This week, meet Sharon Wallace, an elementary school secretary. Sharon is the first friendly face students see each morning, greeting them, entering attendance, supporting staff, managing phones, and keeping the office safe. But she’s also navigating an office that’s busier and more complex than ever. Rising student needs, increased behaviours, and more crises mean the office is constantly full, and understaffing makes it harder to give every child the care they deserve.
Sharon reminds us that with proper funding and full staffing, schools could meet students’ emotional, mental‑health, and physical needs, and create calmer, safer spaces for everyone.
Stay tuned every Wednesday!
