4 Day Itinerary for North Vancouver Island 🚗 We posted a north island itinerary a few years back but we re-visited and just HAD to give you all an upgrade 😆 This region begins past Campbell River and stretches to the tippy top, Port Hardy. Not an area visited by many but we believe it should be on your bucket list! 📆 Best times to visit are between May and September. ✨ Day 1 - Little Huson Caves and Telegraph Cove ✍️ Incredible cave formations and a tiny picturesque fishing village. ✨ Day 2 - Port Alice, Alice Lake Loop and Port Hardy ✍️ Key Stops - Alice Lake Loop (Eternal Fountain, the Vanishing River and the Devil’s Bath) - The Seawalk - @foggymountaincoffeeco - Walk-out Island - Hardy Bay Seawall - Bear and whale watching tours - God’s Pocket Marine Provincial Park - Dakota 576 Plane Crash Trail (moderate 4.2-km out-and-back trail) ⚠️ This is a war memorial so please respect it! ✨ Day 3 - Malcolm Island ✍️ Key Stops - @malcolm_island_food_company - @cohojoecafe - Bere Point - Mitchell Bay - Pulteney Point Lighthouse ✨ Day 4 - Grant Bay and San Josef Bay ✍️ Key Stops - @scarletibispub - Winter Harbour - Grant Bay - Raft Cove - San Josef Bay (easy, 8.7 km out-and-back) ⚠️ The roads from Port Hardy to Grant Bay and Cape Scott are down long and very rough logging roads. The ride will be easier in a 4x4 vehicle with high clearance. ⚠️ Note that when exploring this massive area, there are very limited services, so plan accordingly. ⚠️ Carry all the necessary safety gear, map out gas stations, download maps/carry paper maps and carry a satellite phone/GPS messenger. ⚠️ These communities are small and sensitive so please respect the locals, the wildlife and Leave No Trace when visiting ❤️ #vancouverislandnorth #vancouverisland #explorebc #roadtripcanada #roadtrippers #travelcouple #canadiancreators
