Lamb cooked in hay is in the bag and in our bellies! Very tender. Definitely can taste the grassiness of the hay. Complimented by potatoes from .helmer, beans from , squash from and our bacon. Winning at dinner!

I feel like I went to a good deal of trouble to turn hay into lamb so this recipe feels a bit strange. Just fed the sheep and stole some of their dinner for our dinner. See previous post to see what I’m up to here.

Winter Comfort Foods and Upcoming Deliveries - YES! We have bacon!

I’ve updated the website with plenty of delicious pork and lamb options, including roasts and other favourite winter comfort foods. I’ll be heading to Vancouver Island on January 30th so will line up a couple of stops along the way along Hwy 1 and Hwy 17 on my way to the ferry terminal. Pickup is FREE on this run since I'm heading through anyway.

Order Deadlines:

Best availability: Order ASAP.
Final order deadline: January 28th (to give me time to pack).
Home delivery: February 24th for February 26th ish delivery

For the January trip, I’ll have a trailer, so I won’t be able to do home deliveries. If you know of a convenient meeting spot with enough room for trailer parking along Hwy 1 or Hwy 17, please let me know! I’ll decide on pick-up locations based on where most orders come from and will email everyone with locations and timing.

If you’d prefer home delivery, feel free to order now, but those deliveries won't happen until the last week of February.
