Most homes lose heat in the same places—exterior walls, attics, and basement walls that haven't been looked at in years.
It's rarely one dramatic failure. It's insulation that has settled, compressed, or was never properly installed—and a heating system running longer than it should to make up the difference.
ROCKWOOL Comfortbatt is designed for exactly these spaces. Its flexible edge allows for easy installation, while its density ensures a tight friction fit. Fewer gaps. No settling. Consistent thermal performance over time.
Getting a home ready for winter doesn't need to be complicated. It needs the right material in the right places, installed correctly.
If it's worth building, it's worth ROCKWOOL.

At Climate Week last week, Todd Kimmel shared why building a resilient future starts with what we build with.
ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation recovers the energy used to produce it in just 6–7 months through operational energy savings.
It also helps keep buildings cooler during extreme heat, reducing the need for air conditioning and helping people stay safe, even when the power goes out.
One solution. Two climate wins.
Ever wondered what insulation is actually made of? In our case, the answer starts with a volcano.
Stone wool begins as volcanic rock, mostly basalt, some of the most abundant material on the planet. We melt it down until it flows like lava, then spin it into fine fibers, a bit like cotton candy but made of stone. Those fibers are layered into the insulation that keeps homes warm in winter, cool in summer, quieter year-round, and helps protect against fire.
The best part: because it's stone, it doesn't burn, it doesn't break down, and when it’s no longer being used, it can be recycled back into new stone wool, again and again.
From rock, to fiber, to a home that holds up for decades.
Built to last.
The dishwasher's going. The kids are playing in the basement. The TV creeps up to compete. You're just trying to hear yourself think.
Most homes let pass the noise straight through. ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation absorbs that noise.
Put stone wool in your wall or ceiling and you hear significantly less noise from the next room compared to the same wall without ROCKWOOL products.
Same house. Same family. Less racket.
Quiet isn't a luxury. It's just ROCKWOOL stone wool.
NYC's biggest source of emissions isn't traffic. It comes from buildings, close to 70%.
One week out. Four experts get specific about the fix, and you'll leave knowing how to design across carbon, health and durability at once, and where LEED v5 is heading.
Beyond Carbon: Integrated Strategies for Resilient, Healthy, High-Performance Buildings.

A few weeks ago, a few of of us spent a day in a backyard building a playground for a little girl.
Veda, is an energetic two-year-old with some difficult health challenges. We teamed up with Million Dollar Smiles, a nonprofit that creates special moments for kids facing serious illness, and got to work in her family's backyard. Our crew came from across the company. We had people from marketing, product and sustainability, plus some of our agency friends. Not one of us had nearly as much playground-building experience as you'd hope, but we figured it out.
We started at 9 and finished a little after 4. Then Veda came out to see it. That moment made every hour worth it.
Thank you to Million Dollar Smiles for letting us be part of this.
And Veda, we hope you love your new playground.

On a warehouse or manufacturing facility, the low-slope roof influences three things' owners care about most: fire safety, interior noise, and long-term operating costs.
ROCKWOOL Toprock is a part of a complete stone wool roofing system designed for all three things an owner cares about most. Toprock DD and Toprock DD Plus are noncombustible boards that are capable of withstanding temperatures exceeding 2000°F. Paired with Toprock Tapered solutions, Flute Fillers, and Cant Strips, the result is a full insulation assembly from a single source, with stone wool's natural acoustic and durability benefits built in.
If you have a new build or re-roof on the horizon, our application guide lays out the full system and the long-term case for stone wool.

"That product is spectacular. As a builder, I only want to work with Safe'n'Sound." — HGTV star and Heirloom builder, Josh Nowell.
The team behind The Heirloom Hotel set out to turn a historic downtown Mississippi building into a 25,000-square-foot boutique hotel—with one rule they wouldn't bend on: quality, all the way down to what's behind the walls.
To give every future guest the quiet that defines a great stay, the team specified ROCKWOOL Safe'n'Sound stone wool insulation to help soundproof the guest rooms.
The best details are the ones you never notice. You just sleep better.
True sustainability requires looking at the big picture.
A building has to cut carbon, keep people healthy, and hold up to the climate, all at once. Our panel is about how to actually design for all of it.
