The PLC Project

My new single “Sever the Ties” is finally out.

Last month I challenged myself to write, record, mix and release a new song from scratch, and have it all done within a month. And this is the result.

I wrote the lyrics, did all the vocals, the guitars, the bass and the mixing. My buddy Goldfish was kind enough to also take on this challenge with me and wrote the drums in a very short amount of time (thanks again bud. You are the best 🤘🏻)

The artwork was done by Nicolas O. on Fiverr who was also able to get it done very quickly and nail the aesthetic I was looking for.

I always tend to procrastinate and take my time when it comes to making music. Always making sure every little detail is perfect before I release anything. That’s why I still have a 5 song EP on my hard drive, still unfinished, waiting to be released.

This song isn’t a part of that.

This song was a personal goal, a mission, a statement, a farewell and a rebirth for me.

Going forward, I’m going to try and change the way I do things to try and put out as much music as I can before it’s too late and all of it ends up on a hard drive half finished and never released.

All that being said, this will be the only “solo” song I plan on doing for a while.

Because at much as I’m very happy with how this song turned out, there’s still one thing missing….

And that’s my buddy and all time favorite singer Phil Bender. My music truly isn’t the same without him and he simply cannot be replaced. Even by me.

So expect Phil to be unleashed on the next song. 😈
