A great example of a service truck built for serious work. 🔧🚚 This new Maintainer Signature Series 1 Service Body from Hews Company is equipped with a VMAC H40 Hydraulic Air Compressor, delivering 40 CFM of rotary screw compressed air right on the truck.
For crews working in excavation and other demanding applications, onboard air helps keep pneumatic tools running and reduces the need for separate tow-behind equipment.
Thanks to Hews Company for featuring the H40 as part of this impressive build for James W. Flett Co., Inc.

What are service fleets focused on in 2026? Getting more from the vehicles they already have. VMAC’s 2026 State of the Mobile Compressed Air Industry survey found that 76% of respondents operate service trucks or vans, while fleet sizes are generally expected to remain steady rather than expand.
The data points to a practical approach across the industry: maintain existing assets, maximize uptime, and make every service vehicle work harder and more efficiently.
The annual report also explores vehicle age and replacement expectations, mobile air compressor requirements, equipment preferences, tool usage, EV adoption, and the business outlook for the year ahead. See how your fleet compares.

Happy National Manufacturing Day! Today, we recognize the skilled people, trades, technology, and innovation that keep manufacturing moving forward.
This year is especially meaningful for VMAC as we celebrate 40 years of manufacturing. Since 1986, VMAC has grown from its early beginnings into one of North America’s authentic air compressor manufacturers, designing, engineering, manufacturing, assembling, and testing our mobile air compressors and multi-power systems in-house at our facility.
From our foundry and CNC machining capabilities to fabrication, assembly, quality control, engineering, and continuous improvement, manufacturing has been at the heart of VMAC for four decades. Today, our team continues that tradition by building products designed to help hardworking customers get more done in the field.
On National Manufacturing Day, we’re proud to celebrate our coworkers and everyone across the manufacturing industry whose skills, ideas, and dedication turn raw materials into the products that keep industries working.
Here’s to 40 years of manufacturing at VMAC, and to what we build next.

Air compressor. Generator. Welder. Booster. Battery charger. Hydraulics. Imagine carrying all of that without installing six separate machines.
VMAC Multifunction Power Systems give operators the power they need on the jobsite from one compact, integrated machine. By combining multiple power sources into a single system, Multifunction systems help reduce the need for separate pieces of equipment, saving valuable space and weight on the truck while keeping essential power ready for demanding field work.
Powered by a Cat® or Kubota Tier 4F diesel engine, or a Honda EFI gas engine, VMAC Multifunction systems allow operators to shut off the truck engine while continuing to run the equipment they need. Depending on the configuration, up to six power capabilities are available, including compressed air, welding, AC power, battery boosting and charging, and a PTO port with an optional hydraulic pump.

A service truck isn't much use if the equipment on it can't keep up. For fleets, choosing a mobile air compressor means looking beyond CFM.
Duty cycle, available truck space, equipment weight, tool requirements and vehicle compatibility can all affect which compressor makes the most sense.
The best mobile air compressor for work trucks isn’t a mystery. It’s the one engineered for performance, space savings, and long-term reliability. VMAC has been delivering exactly that for 40 years.
See what truck fleets should consider when selecting a mobile air compressor in 2026:
