The cover of a book is the beginning of a conversation between the author and the reader. ~ David Pearson https://freshdesignbooks.carbonmade.com
FRESH DESIGN, Michelle Fairbanks
Book Designer + Artist
With over 25 years of design experience, I aim to keep my work fresh - simple, clean & beautiful. Raised on Vancouver Island, it is easy to be inspired by the beauty of the ocean and forest that surround me. I am grateful to connect with and be grounded by nature daily. I have a deep love for my family, coffee, cross stitching, minimalist design and summer days at the river. Specializing in book cover design for almost 10 years, I provide unique, genre-specific covers for authors. I pride myself on being easy to work with, and for clients to enjoy the process while feeling supported. From children’s books to fiction, leadership, non-fiction, self help and more; I aspire to make the world just a tiny bit more beautiful one book at a time.
