🧡 Tomorrow, September 30, is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

At GCS Automotive Repairs, we're marking the day by donating to the Downie Wenjack Fund — a foundation created in memory of Chanie Wenjack and inspired by Gord Downie's call for all Canadians to "do something."

In 1966, Chanie, a 12-year-old Anishinaabe boy, ran away from residential school in Kenora, Ontario, trying to walk the 600 km home along the railway tracks. He didn't survive. Fifty years later, Gord Downie told Chanie's story to all of Canada and asked each of us to answer it with action.

This donation is our something. We hope you'll join us in wearing orange, learning, and listening tomorrow.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

It's with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye today to our Boo. We found her 18 years ago, as a spicy little kitten, so small she fit in Grant's palm. She lived a happy live here at the Shop. Rest in Peace Boo

Back-to-School Budget Stress? Start Here.

Back-to-school season is exciting… until you start adding up the costs. 😳

New shoes.
School supplies.
Clothing.
Lunches.
Sports.
Activities.

Suddenly, your budget feels a little tighter.

Here's the good news: you don't have to figure it all out at once.

Start with one simple step:
👉 Write down everything your family expects to spend on back-to-school.

Once you can see the numbers, you can make a plan.

Clarity comes before confidence.

💚 What's the one back-to-school expense that always surprises you?

At Wellness Financial Coaching Inc., I believe money doesn't have to be a source of shame or stress.

Sometimes you just need a little clarity, a plan, and someone to help you find your next step. 💚

Ready to feel more confident about your money? Let's start the conversation. DM me for more information!

It might seem like just a few stars or a quick sentence to us, but to the non-profits, public organizations, and small businesses that form the heart of Nanton, a Meta review is pure gold.

Ever wonder why some local updates pop up in your feed while others seem to disappear? It all comes down to how the algorithm reads community engagement. When you take a moment to leave a review, it signals to Meta that our pages matter to the community.

For a non-profit like the Nanton Quality of Life Foundation, or for your favourite downtown shop, that little algorithmic boost makes a massive difference:

Greater Visibility: It ensures our updates, program notices, and support services reach the neighbours who need them most.

Active Feeds: It keeps local community centres, heritage hubs, and independent businesses visible amidst a crowded digital space.

Stronger Connections: It helps newcomers discover trusted local resources and services right here in our town.

Taking just two minutes to leave a review for the public organizations and small businesses you cherish helps keep Nanton connected, informed, and thriving.

Who are you showing some digital love to today? Drop a review on their page and let them know they have your support! 👇
