Reach out to upgrade your skills in reading, writing, math, computer and employment skills! We honour and acknowledge this land and its people.

We provide customized training programs to assist adults in York-Simcoe to improve their employment prospects, prepare for higher education and build confidence. We want to acknowledge that we are situated on the traditional territories of the Wendat (Wen-dat), the Haudenosaunee (Hau-dee no-show’-nee), the Anishinaabe (Anishi-naabe) peoples, whose presence here continues to this day. We would also like to recognize the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation as our closest Indigenous community and our partners in adult literacy and essential skills training. We acknowledge this land and the people because the first step to reconciliation recognizes Indigenous people. Having a shared understanding of how our collective past brought us to where we are today will help us walk together into a better future.

Problem-Solving Scenario:
You’re working a shift and notice the inventory count doesn’t match what’s on the shelf. What’s the best first step?

A) Adjust the number in the system to match the shelf
B) Double-check the count, review recent sales or deliveries, and inform your supervisor
C) Ignore it and continue your tasks

✔️ Tip: Good problem solving means checking for accuracy before making changes. Small errors can lead to bigger issues if they’re not investigated properly.
