Sharptails have a way of making you earn every bird, and that’s part of what makes hunting them so rewarding.

That time of year for hunting updates on our pups!
“I started duck hunting with Remy this past weekend. He amazed me and the guys I hunted with for how good he did retrieving. We have some things to work on but OMG, he’s a rock star for such a young dog. His natural instincts are off the charts. His drive is off the charts and his love for it is crazy. Best dog ever.” - Dave H.

Time has a funny way of speeding up when you’re raising puppies. And with a small litter, it seems to fly even faster. One minute they’re tucked into a warm two pup pile, and the next, they’re ready to take on the world.
Yeti left yesterday with his new owner, who happens to own Kodak Moment from the K litter. The sire, SIR X-Zibit passed some great genetics on to these two pups. I can’t wait to see them in the field!
Thanks again to SIR’s owner Agnieszka Rudnika, for trusting us with his genetics, and enduring the process of shipping semen from Poland with me.

Couldn’t tell you what was so funny in this field portion of GDT, but I’m grateful for the candid moment captured by Helen Gee . I’m usually the one behind the camera, so I have far too few photos of me and the dogs.
A moment worth keeping.

La River Amelialand FCI turned two yesterday. The last five months have been fun watching this girl come into herself and I’m looking forward to a full hunting season with her. Birthday birds and a sunshine cookie is how we celebrated.

Our local NAVHDA Chapter held their test weekend a few weeks back. We had four Four Point pups and Robingun’s JJ Juke hit the field. Thanks to the owners for testing their dogs and making the trip whether it was a one hour drive or a fifteen hour drive.
