The Simcoe Hall Settlement House was founded in 1935.

Since then, we have actively provided wellness opportunities through our food bank and programs to serve people in Oshawa and throughout Durham Region who experience financial and social challenges.

We are incredibly grateful to Caroline and Kelly Kraft for their generous support of Operation Backpack.

Because of your kindness, local children and youth will head back to school with the supplies they need to feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn. Your generosity is creating brighter opportunities for students across our community.

"For our future, with love." Those simple words beautifully capture the heart of what Operation Backpack is all about. They remind us that when a community comes together with kindness, amazing things happen.

From all of us at Simcoe Hall, thank you for making a lasting difference.💙

Help Keep Our Food Bank Shelves Stocked!❤️

Our Food Bank relies on the generosity of our community to help ensure local individuals and families have access to the food and essentials they need.

Our current Food Bank Wish List highlights the items we need most, and our supply of reusable grocery bags is running low. If you have clean, gently used bags at home, please consider donating them.

Donations can be dropped off at Simcoe Hall, 387 Simcoe St. S., Oshawa, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Want to make an impact today? A monetary donation allows us to purchase the food and essential items our community needs most.

Donate today: https://simcoehall.com/donate/

Thank you for helping us provide food, hope, and support to the individuals and families who rely on us. Every donation makes a meaningful difference.💙

A truck full of generosity. A community full of heart.❤️

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible friends at Hot Rocks Creative Diner for their continued support of Simcoe Hall and the families we serve.

Following their Annual Golf Tournament, a portion of the proceeds from their raffle and 50/50 draw helped purchase $2,500 worth of food for our Food Bank.

This incredible donation will help keep our shelves stocked and provide nutritious food for individuals and families throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the tournament, purchased raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets, and helped make this donation possible. Your generosity is making a meaningful difference for our neighbours who need it most.

To the entire Hot Rocks team, thank you for your kindness, partnership, and commitment to giving back. We are so grateful for your friendship and your continued support.

Together, we're building a stronger, more caring community.💙

Help us fill one of Operation Backpack’s most urgent gaps.

We still need 600 new lunch bags and 400 new reusable water bottles for local children and youth across Durham Region.

We are incredibly grateful to the many organizations, businesses and community members who have already supported this year’s campaign. Your generosity has brought us closer to our goal, but we still need help securing these essential items.

Lunch bags and reusable water bottles may seem simple, but they help students arrive at school prepared, included and ready to learn.

Donations are needed by August 6.

Connect with us or email our Operation Backpack lead, Mursal Alami, at [email protected] to:

• Host a collection drive
• Donate toward the purchase of these items
• Contribute new lunch bags or reusable water bottles

Whether you are an individual, business, workplace or community group, your support can help us close this gap.

Please share and help us reach our goal.

A heartfelt thank you to the Durham Regional Police Service Youth in Policing Program for spending the day with us at Simcoe Hall!

We are so grateful for your time, energy, and commitment to giving back to our community.

Your incredible team rolled up their sleeves to help pack backpacks for Operation Backpack and prepare food hampers for our Food Bank, making a meaningful difference for local children, individuals, and families.

Every backpack packed and every food hamper prepared represents hope, dignity, and care for someone in our community. Your generosity will touch the lives of children, individuals, and families in ways that truly matter.

It is always inspiring to see young people leading with kindness, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and positive spirit were felt throughout the day, and we are truly grateful for everything you accomplished.

Thank you for choosing to spend your day with us and for helping build a stronger, more caring community. We are so thankful for your support and look forward to welcoming you back again!❤️💙

What a wonderful day celebrating community, classic cars, and the incredible legacy of Walter Rebot. ❤️

We are so grateful to Oshawa Funeral Home for once again hosting the Annual Classic Auto Show and choosing to support Simcoe Hall through the proceeds from the BBQ, 50/50 draw, and generous donations. A heartfelt thank you as well to Halenda's for generously donating all of the food for the BBQ. Your generosity helped make the event such a success, and together your support is making a meaningful difference for individuals and families throughout our community.

This year's event was made even more meaningful as family, friends, and community members gathered to honour Walter Rebot, whose passion, generosity, and dedication to Oshawa touched so many lives. His legacy of community spirit continues to inspire, and we were honoured to be part of this special tribute.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and helped make the day so special. Your support helps ensure Simcoe Hall can continue providing food, programs, and essential services to children, seniors, individuals, and families throughout our community.

Thank you, Oshawa Funeral Home, for your continued partnership and for turning a day of remembrance into one of generosity, connection, and hope.💙
