I am always attracted towards different kinds and colours of chillies. Last Saturday I found these amazing purple coloured chillies in Pentiction farmers market. I was so excited to work with them. There chillies are called Buena Mulata. Buena Mulata: An heirloom cayenne-type pepper that ages from purple to orange, brown, and red. Amazing flavour with beautiful colour. So I bought a whole box and used it for making our family favourite pickle The Good, The Bad, The Deadly. It turned out so colourful and delicious. If you want to add it to your collection come and see us tomorrow at Naramata Farmers Market or at Pentiction Farmers Market on Saturday.

Many people ask me how I use Schezwanegger our hot Asian inspired chutney. I use it in many ways but my favourite is hot wings. I never deep fry wings rather I air fry them. Once they are cooked I toss them in Schezwanedder with a bit of honey. Believe me if you love restaurant style wings try it. You can’t stop eating them. I made them tonight and not only my tummy but my heart is full.

I am almost 52 now. People of my age who grew up in India must remember this Cheese. When I was a kid this was only cheese we knew. Cheese was not a part of our food. We grew up eating paneer. But Amul cheese was the one and only cheese we knew.It was not very popular and very few shops sell it. Few days ago I was I Canadian super store and I found it there. I was overjoyed and bought it immediately. So many great memories of my childhood came to life.
