New machine in the shop! 👀
We just added this edge sander to our TrueCore production line, and the goal is to take a big portion of the manual edge sanding out of our HDF door process.
It’s designed to smooth the edges coming straight off the CNC and round over those sharp ¾” corners.
Now it’s time to put it to work and see what it can do!
One piece. No joints. No panel gaps. No exposed seams.
That’s one of the biggest advantages of HDF cabinet doors—especially when they’re painted.
Unlike a traditional 5-piece wood door, a one-piece HDF door is completely sealed as a single piece. There are no frame-to-panel gaps or joints that can move, expand, contract, crack, and eventually show through the finish.
A smoother door starts with a better foundation.
The two newest additions to the shop are finally getting put to work.
These two sanding machines are going to make a big difference in the flow of getting our MDF and HDF doors sanded after they come off the CNC.
The brush sander is great for working the front and back of the doors, especially around the interior face profiles. One of its biggest advantages is rounding over those sharp edges in the profile and giving everything a much more finished feel.
The edge sander takes care of the door edges, sanding them smooth and helping round over the corners on our 3/4” doors.
Together, they take care of a huge portion of the sanding process between the CNC and finishing — making the workflow much faster and more consistent.
And for everyone wondering… yes, these are from Alibaba. 😂
Please don’t ask me what brand they are. 🤫
They definitely took some work to get here and get set up properly for our shop, but I’m really happy with how they’re performing so far.
Big upgrade for TrueCore. 🚀
We recently brought in a heavy-duty edge sander and brush sander to help take our HDF door production to the next level.
A huge shoutout to for helping us import these machines and get them CSA approved here in Canada. 🇨🇦
These machines are going to take care of a majority of the sanding work on the doors we produce — giving us more consistency, better efficiency, and a whole lot less manual sanding.
More production.
More consistency.
More doors.
And we’re just getting started. 🔥
Big things ahead at TrueCore.
Sheet after sheet,
the C2 comes alive.
Steel moves through HDF,
following lines that were drawn before the cut.
One door becomes another,
then another,
each one measured, shaped, and precise.
No hesitation.
No wasted motion.
Just the steady rhythm of a machine
doing what it was built to do.
Consistent.
Precise.
Repeatable.
From a full sheet of HDF
to a stack of doors —
cut the same way, every time.

1/8 roundover bit doing its magic on this beaded profile. To help remove some stress from machine both sides of this profile we used a 60° v bit to remove most of the material beforehand. CanCam CNC Machines Since 2012
When we sell a door as “RAW,” we still care about the finish. 👌
At TrueCore, we use premium MDF because the material itself makes a difference in how much work comes after the CNC.
Better material = cleaner machining, better edges, less sanding, and a better surface to work with.
That matters whether we’re selling RAW doors to a customer who wants to do their own prep, or SANDED doors that are ready for primer.
We’re not looking to save $10 a sheet if it means compromising the integrity, consistency, or quality of our doors.
We’d rather build it right than build it cheap.
That’s the TrueCore standard. 🇨🇦
Matching an existing kitchen, down to the details. 👌
For this project, we replicated a beaded cabinet door profile to seamlessly match the customer’s existing kitchen. We also used white-backed material as requested.
Every profile is machined with precision on our CanCam CNC Machines Since 2012 giving us the accuracy and repeatability needed for custom replacement doors.
When the goal is to make new doors look like they were always part of the kitchen, the details matter.
