A privilege to serve with Gabe McReyolds, volunteering with Samaritan’s Purse yesterday helping an elderly couple deal with a huge flood in their basement.
If you’ve got some space, please sign up to volunteer. Great way to love on our neighbors. Bring a team from your church.

Dear Friend of the City of Ottawa,
The City of Ottawa has invited Samaritan's Purse back to Ottawa to help with flood relief. We are thankful for this favour, and our prayers this week focus on this significant way the Body of Christ can be present for our community.
More volunteers are needed! If you and/or your church would like to help, please reach out to Respond Ottawa via [email protected].
Pray Ottawa Weekly Prayer Point
On Canada Day, thousands of Ottawa residents experienced devastating flood damage to their homes due to the severe storms that hit the city. While some have been able to hire private companies or clean up with the help of friends, family and neighbours, many are unable to physically or financially clean up and are in dire need of help.
This past weekend, the city of Ottawa invited Samaritan’s Purse back to assist with assessing and cleaning out damaged homes. Team members have begun arriving from all over Canada and they hope to begin the work this Saturday.
Respond Ottawa will be coming alongside to support the work being done, encouraging churches in the city to step into this need in a variety of ways.
Please pray:
-that the weather will be stable with no additional severe storms
-that the church of Ottawa will step up to serve on the field with clean up efforts and feeding the Samaritan's Purse team who is here
-for gospel connections and conversations as volunteers support homeowners in cleaning up their homes
-that the Lord will be glorified through the interactions with City officials, homeowners and churches as they come together to be the hands and feet of Jesus and serve their neighbours
Thank you for praying for a transformed city.
So thankful for Samaritan's Purse Canada coming to Ottawa once again to help out! This time they come to help the many thousands who have been affected by terrible flood damage in their basements on July 1st.
Please keep them and the volunteers in your prayers.

We had a great morning this morning at Black Rapids. The rain was trying to fall, but the Lord held it off just long enough for us to get some beautiful photos.
So thankful to Luke & Lee-Anne for capturing our team so well! 💙

Would you like a fun evening out?
Ins Choi is a faithful Christian and a former pastor. You may not be familiar with his name but you may have heard of a CBC TV show called "Kim's Convenience". He's the creator of the show. He's doing a national tour of a new project - kind of personal testimony of what it's like as a Christian to go from a pastor to someone in theatre. The show is called "Son of a Preacherman".
Here's how he describes his show:
"the show chronicles my journey from following in my dad’s footsteps in becoming a pastor to choosing a path in the arts. It’s part stand up comedy, story telling, part concert with songs, full of humour and heart."
(We here at One Way Ministries have not seen this show so cannot give our recommendation. However, it does look quite intriguing to watch.
This is what AI says about it: Written and performed by Ins Choi, this deeply personal, award-winning musical storytelling show explores his life as the only son of a Korean church pastor in Toronto. The performance weaves together Bible stories, his creative process, and a journey into the arts.)
