Canada’s museums of science and innovation

Our three national museums in Ottawa cover soil to space–and everything in between.

Unique in Canada, our museums are brought to life by our collection of artifacts that represent our nation’s heritage Ingenium represents a collaborative space where the past meets the future in a celebration of creativity, discovery, and human ingenuity. Telling the stories of people who think differently and test the limits, Ingenium honours individuals and communities who have shaped history — and inspire the next generation. Under the Ingenium brand, three museums —the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum — provide a sensory experience that immerses young and old alike in the countless ways science and technology connect with our everyday lives.

"Being a retired educator, lifelong learner, and fascinated with anything science related, my 12+ years of volunteering at the 3 museums has been very rewarding. The positive reactions and looks of wonder and discovery, especially on the faces of children, are inspiring and worth every moment I am there." Volunteer Judith Peckham.

For more than 12 years, Judith has been part of a dedicated volunteer community that brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to our museums every day. 💙
