What am I still watering in the garden ?
Raspberries. Yes, its true every few days I make sure they get a good drink as they are still loaded with berries.
These are ever bearing Raspberries so they will produce right until they get frost. We are picking a small handful every other day right now but I hoping we might get one last big bowl in October if the days stay warm and sunny.
Do you think we will get lucky ?

Pickled beets are a staple in our home during the winter months. They make the perfect side to dinner when you cant have a fresh salad.
My havest of beets was small this year. The first secession didn't take and the 2nd one was munched by a critter.
This is the first year dealing with any type of critters in the garden that aren't bugs so I will have to have a plan before next spring. I am not sure I want a fence though...
What was a crop you wish did better this year ?
The farmstand is closed today but will be open tomorrow, Friday.

I love using my crock pot for hand off healthy meals. It's a staple during canning season.
Mine does this every fall.😂

This was my first year growing black stripe and red zebra tomatoes but it definitely wont be my last. I absolutely love how beautiful these are on the vine growing or chopped in a salad.

Hey Friends,
We will be out of town this weekend for a wedding, so there will be NO BAKING this weekend.
The Farmstand will still be open and stocked with all your favourite canned goods and tallow skincare, though.
While we are away, I will be finalizing the NEW fall menu and getting ready to launch pre-orders on Sept 28! Stay tuned for more details about this.
Sorry for any inconvenience this week, but I look forward to being back in the kitchen next Friday.

9 years of being Mrs. Outridge. What a wild, fun, and exhausting 9 years we have had. I still cant believe all we have done. 3 moves 2 baby's, 2 dogs and a business.
I hope the next 9 are slower and more intentional as the foundation sure is strong now.
