Wildfire Round Table & Debrief - THIS WEDNESDAY, September 23, 6:00-8:00pm at the Pemberton Legion.

All welcome - riders, horse owners, barn owners, community members!

Our goal is to create a safe space for learning and information sharing within the local horse community, with the intention of helping us all to be as prepared as possible for future emergencies.

The PVHA is going to MATCH donations given to the Horse Council BC wildfire relief fund on the night of the event!
Areas such as Summerland, Clinton, 70 mile etc have been seriously affected this year and the wildfire relief fund is there to assist in times of need. PVHA is going to match all donations up to $500!

Join us from 6:00-8:00pm at the Pemberton Legion on Wednesday, September 23 for a facilitated round table discussion about what we all learned from the recent Signal Hill wildfire and evacuations.

Our goal is to create a safe space for learning and information sharing within the local horse community, with the intention of helping us all to be as prepared as possible for future emergencies.

Proposed Round Table Format:
Introduce yourself & share your experience of the wildfire (2 minutes each)
What worked & what didn’t work
Goals for next time - individual & community/PVHA

The PVHA is facilitating a Wildfire Round Table Debrief on September 23rd at the Pemberton Legion 6 PM - 8 PM.

After this Summer’s wildfire events we would love to discuss our thoughts around what went well, what we feel we could improve on & more ideas for the future!

We want to hear your feedback & thoughts about how we can be more prepared and potentially create a resource manual of sorts, should this happen again in our little community.

This summer taught us how important is it for the community to have a plan. It was absolutely amazing how the community came together throughout the Sea to Sky to help make room for those evacuated.

Please join us to share your thoughts, recommendations or just to hear other people’s input. The more the merrier!
