Our preference

Our North Carolina project has reached an exciting milestone.

What began as a stacks of raw logs is now revealing the scale and character of the home.

Over the past several weeks we've completed the entire roof truss system, the massive covered porch structure, the upper floor system, and the heavy timber knee braces. Those early stages came together remarkably smoothly, with each piece fitting just as it was designed.

Now we've moved into what many would consider the heart of the structure: the enormous handcrafted log posts that will tie the entire timber frame together.

This is where the pace naturally slows. Every post must be measured (twice), fitted, and installed with absolute precision because each one influences everything that follows. There's no rushing craftsmanship of this caliber.

Even so, we're making exceptional progress and remain on track to finish ahead of schedule.

It's rewarding to watch 10 months of design, planning, engineering, and craftsmanship transform into a home that will stand for generations.
