Cobbold Tree Care

Nor'easter in Westchester, NY

My most determined helper is loading wood before school today. We are giving this load to a lovely older couple from Lanark as part of our first annual firewood giveaway.

We're very grateful for everyone that nominated someone, shared and liked our post and reached out. Thanks to you we are provided with the opportunity to give back to our community.

Have a great week everyone!

Freshly trimmed Amur Maples along Lombard St. No more surprise gas prices at Petro Canada in Smiths Falls!

Sorry to be the bearer or bad news but summer is winding down. We are gauging interest in leaf collection and potentially offering this service this fall.

Is this something you or your neighbours require? If so please like this post or comment below so we can help you out this fall.

A few benefits to having your leaves collected;

Protects Turf: Prevents light blockage, smothering, and dead grass spots.

Reduces Fungi & Rot: Minimizes snow mold, root rot, and trapped moisture.

Controls Pests: Eliminates winter habitat for ticks, mice, and voles.

Improves Safety: Removes slippery hazards from paths, driveways, and steps.

Protects Drainage: Keeps leaves out of gutters and storm drains to prevent flooding.

Creates Free Mulch/Compost: Offers rich organic material for garden beds and compost piles.

Two hedges trimmed up on Grant St in Perth for returning clients and neighbours John and Suzanne.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our firewood giveaway! 🪵🔥

Our nomination period has officially closed, and we’re sitting down tonight as a family to read through all of your entries and select the recipients.
We honestly wish we had enough firewood to send a load to every single family who was nominated. Choosing will be tough, but we are looking forward to selecting the households we feel need and deserve it most this season.

Heating our own home with wood, our family knows firsthand just how much hard work, warmth, and peace of mind a full woodpile brings. Being able to share a resource like this—and the time it takes to prepare it—is deeply meaningful to us. Giving back brings our family so much joy and grounds us in what it truly means to be part of a supportive community.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a nomination, and to everyone who shared our original post to help us reach as many neighbours as possible.

We will be reaching out directly to the selected recipients soon to coordinate delivery.

Thank you all again for helping us care for our community! 🌲❤️

Crazy storms hit Erie, PA. Down here to assist with power restoration efforts. When I'm not doing tree work I'm working on the electrical grid as a lineman.
